one of my fav things about connor is that he really is completely unapologetically himself, not just in his actions but also in his conviction and his own opinion of himself. connor knows he's attractive, he knows he's talented, he knows he is eccentric and artistic, he knows he has potential and will go far in the industry. to some people that kind of confidence can seem vain but with connor he radiates this confidence in such a kind and disarming way. he's not full of himself, he doesn't think he's better than anyone, but he refuses to shrink or diminish himself for others. i'm thinking specifically abt the owen thiele podcast interview where he confidently described himself as "ethereal" and "not of this world" and did so with absolutely no trace of jest. i'm thinking about him being asked at the ysl show what he's bad at, and him saying "i'm not bad at anything" before taking a moment to think (bc he knew that's not the answer they were looking for) and then flippantly saying "dancing", which obviously we know isn't true. bc he knows he is good at everything, or at least has the potential to be good at it. he's so earnest in his confidence, you know he believes these things about himself and you can see it in everything he does. everything he says has meaning and conviction behind it and i really admire that about him. he knows his worth. it's genuinely inspiring.
