In one deleted scene from David Cronenberg’s The Fly, Jeff Goldblum attempted to fix his condition by creating other hybrid creatures, like a cat-baboon, which he is forced to kill. The scene was cut as test audiences found it too disturbing, even by Cronenberg standards.
