Remember to take care of yourself, love yourself (or if that's too hard, at least tolerate yourself), drink water and keep being the fantastic self you are! It may be loud, bold or quiet, cozy!
Whatever feels right to you is what is important and counts!
You're my moot on tumblr and we don't say anything to each so I thought I'd say hi!!
hello mutual!! it’s great to hear from you, i’m a big fan of your art!!!
by a landslide, my favorite character is Sammy Lawrence, hence my nickname. I first got into Bendy about the same time as his chapter was released, and he’s also one of my favorite characters of all time!
I don’t draw him often because I’m completely terrified of making his design look bad, but I’ll give it a try sometime soon 😭 however I’m also a cosplayer for him!
next to him I also love Alice Angel and maybe a tie between Henry Stein and Wilson Arch :]
Elara's hobbies are few and far between down in the studio. Most of her waking hours are spent evading danger or keeping her supplies stocked to keep herself alive.
When she's not on the run, she enjoys reading random books she comes across around the studio. Drawing is another hobby she enjoys, it brings her back to a more familiar time. She sometimes leaves doodles on the walls in ink, much like Allison scribbles on them herself.
As for her being friends with someone? She's a lot more reserved than she used to be. Becoming her friend in the studio might pose as a challenge at first. She'd be closed off in the beginning, but would eventually warm up to them once she realized they weren't a threat. Once she does make friends with someone, she'd be insanely loyal. Down here, you don't really get many opportunities, y'know? She'd probably check up on them often, bringing any leftover supplies she had. She'd care for them as they're probably all she's got now..
Eleanore
Eleanore is more spunky than her ink counterpart. When she was living, she never had a moment where she was sitting still. You only get so much time in the day, why waste it?
As for hobbies, art was her passion. She'd throw herself into her work often, immersing herself in her stories. Drawing, doodling, animating, she loved it all. Making an art piece was the most rewarding thing she could do. She didn't just stop at drawing, though. She enjoyed writing as a side hobby. Baking was another one, although she wasn't much good at it. She wanted to do stand-up for a time, then realized she was bad at it.
As for how she'd be as a friend.. I like to think she'd be a good one! Caring, loyal, friendly. She'd definitely have banter with her close friends, but she'd never be mean spirited about it. As much as she'd live to be attentive, she could get caught up in activities she's doing very easily. She'd want to be there for her friends when they are going through something as well!
((Hope that was detailed enough!! And answered your question thoroughly!! Sorry for yapping lmao))
Figured I'd do an info dump for people who were curious about Hudson! Honestly, I haven't had Hudson on my mind that much, but he's still near and dear to me! I feel like his lore will always shift slightly as time passes by, but this is the idea:
Hudson Hendricks started at age 17 (1937) in the studio’s Writing Department with his heart and creativity set on making good stories. He was polite, wistful and someone who loved collaborating with others. He had recently moved to New York with his new fiancee, Elsie, with hopes of getting away from cadet life and his family’s Air Force background. He was always proud of it, but seeing that it was restraining his creative talents and independence, he was quick to pack. Hudson was born in Quebec, Canada and was often homesick and awkward with speech when he first worked at the studio. He always kept his frustrations and worries to himself, having a bad habit of punching things when alone.
Besides that, he was the average gentleman who was approachable, creative and loved rambling about his soon to be wife and whatever talkie he happened to see.
Later, as the studio went downhill, so did he. Elsie sadly was taken due to illness only a year after being married, leaving Hudson quiet and feeling weary. He refused to take off his wedding band. He tried making the most of everything, especially taking care of his friends and burying himself in his work. He started forgetting little things/dead lines, being too harsh towards himself and trying too hard to make a story, instead of enjoying the process.
Eventually, the hurt scarred over, but the negative mindset had already taken root in Hudson’s mind at age 20 (1940). He had (barely) managed to get his shit together by coming up with 4 major story ideas that became successful cartoons. He was becoming friendly once more and open towards rookies in the studio. However, when World War Two broke out, he was already being pressured to enlist and help the rest of his participating family back in Canada. He stalled for as long as he could, feeling guilty, but not wanting to lose himself to war.
Instead, he accidentally lost himself to ink poisoning.
In 1942 (age 22), the guilt was too much to bear and he caved in and enlisted. This gave him a couple of more months to work at the studio, before he would go to RCAF. Even BEFORE he enlisted, he was mentally and physically unwell. Ink poisoning ravaged his mind, making him paranoid, unable to eat properly, short-fused and overall troubled. He had begun to start ripping up his work, throw his typewriter to the ground, curse, drink and spiral. His behaviour made the Writing Department either stay away from him, make rumours about him or see him as incapable.
He grew violent, joining or causing some fist fights and had a strong suspicion of GENT.
Digging deeper, he found out some pretty dark shit behind the scenes and, with the help of other “resistance” members, began collecting evidence of Joey’s inhuman actions. His end goal was to gather enough evidence that could land Joey behind bars as he worked hard with Norman to keep gathering information about the cult, the experiments and who stood with who. Sadly, Joey and Sammy found out what a threat Hudson was becoming towards them and decided something had to be done. From their knowledge, they knew that Hudson had a suitcase full of damning evidence hidden somewhere and wanted that as well.
Unfortunately for them, they never found it. Unfortunately for Hudson, he was interrogated and murdered for nothing. He was mutilated badly with a knife, before frantically killed off with a pair of scissors. With news of the local health inspector coming to the studio, Joey and Sammy hid Hudson’s body under the floorboards, near the elevator’s operating room.
They forgot to fetch his body back so Hudson never became an ink creature.
Instead, he became a hateful and weary ghost who haunted the elevator and dark parts of the halls. When folks got too close or encountered him, he’d give chase with bloodied scissors in one hand and empty eyesockets glaring right at them. His end goal? To kill them and take their eyes or organs to replace what he lost.
The only way Hudson can see is that he uses light bulbs as his eyes, being able to see out of them. If someone breaks a light bulb he’s currently inhabiting, it hurts him badly and needs time to recover. He can only be a physical form for so long as he does need to recharge at the end of the day.
There are times where there’s a glimpse of his old self.
Eeeeeee!! I love trying to figure out their dynamic and friendship! I imagine they were once friends before everything turned to shit...in simpler times
