I'm sad to say that my Hyperfixations have led me away from the twins 😔 I still love them but I don't have the motivation to create content about them at this time. So this blog might get an occasional reblog in, but I don't know when I'll be posting anything, if I will at all. I'm sorry to disappoint : (

Ah so we have two paths before us. The govt executing Emmet publicly or them keeping him alive as a prisoner as leverage against ingo. Both have their potential.

I think it depends on how much influence they think they still have on Ingo and how they want to use it. Do they want to break him and take away the one who has caused him to act out and in doing so attempt to get him under their thumb again? Or do they want to keep the risk of Emmet being there for more direct leverage? Either way its a risky move. Things will not pan out the way they wish them to. But theres so much to be looked at in both routes

I suppose if we go with the idea of the advisors opting to kill Emmet, they might be inclined to expediate the process and have him publicly executed ASAP which may be what causes Ingo and the rebels to mount a rescue during the execution since they may simply not have the prep time to rescue him before them.

They want to get rid of Emmet as soon as possible, make an example of him. But they sure as hell miscalculated just how organized and Determined the Rebels are, not to mention the unexpected assistance of their King. They would brand him as a traitor but the people would never accept it. Not the King Ingo they knew, he loved his people.

And it might all be last minutes, but it's Public and people can see that their king is willing to risk himself to save Emmet. And that leaves an Impression

Absolutely cannot stop thinking about that short drabble for blind justice where the rebels, when questioning Ingo, made him cry, and what Emmet's reaction may have been to that once they finally get their shit settled and start talking to each other again

Like??? Does Emmet feel bad that Ingo felt hopeless and cornered enough to cry?? And it was because the rebels kept implying things about his and Ingo's relationship?? What does he do with that?? Definitely hugs Ingo for starters I think

To start off with, a lot of Guilt. If he had gone to see Ingo and gotten to speak with him, it never would have escalated to that point. Ingo would know directly from Emmet what his feelings were, how he didn't see Ingo as a manipulator trying to hurt him. But Emmet was too much of a coward to go see Ingo. And he feels horrible for that.

He'll explain himself, he'll Overexplain himself. He just doesn't like that Ingo felt so alone and confused and trapped and it was all his fault. When they get to be reunited and they get more comfortable with each other again, he will openly tell him how much he loves him and he hopes he never makes Ingo feel scared and worried and insecure like that again.

Naybe a late edition, but what if the guy who shot the bullet/arrow that wound up grazing Ingo and hurting was just... some guy? Like a palace guard or whatever. Hes not a deadly assassin whose in the whole manipulation of Ingo but rather just some guy with a boring guard duty station who was genuinely trying to rescue/protect his king.

I could definitely see that. There are a LOT of people who are loyal to Ingo specifically, so if they thought he was in danger, they may try to take things into their own hands. And that means some causalities may occur. Which unfortunately in this case means Ingo getting hurt for Emmet. Which then means that people will hear how the King was defending the Rebel leader and that may start changing a lot of hearts and minds about what's going on.

Did Ingos advisors secretly know about his desperate desire to see Emmet again and just assume it'd never become a problem until Emmet showed up or were they caught off guard when Ingo didn't act the way he was supposed upon Emmet violating the old traditions and returning. Like not responding well to calls for his execution.

Honestly, I think they knew he was a bleeding heart over Emmet, but they thought they had hammered out all those feelings by enforcing what a good leader he was and had to be and to focus on his People and leave the past behind him.

So they weren't prepared for Ingo to go out of his way for him, they had hoped they avoided that fate. But alas, they failed and now Ingo has defected and they're gonna take the kingdom back for the people

Honestly both twins must have so many guilt issues to work through after all this. Ingo consumed with guilt over all the things going on that he had no idea of, even if he was powerless to change any of it. And how this MUST color the way Emmet feels about him. And on the flip side Emmet consumed with guilt over how he misjudged Ingo and how manipulating him has resulted in putting Ingo in danger now as well.

These poor lads have a Lot they have to feel guilty over tbh. And like Ingo is held responsible too because he Has to do better. Now that he's gonna be put into the position of co-ruling, he needs to be made aware of All the corruption and the things that flew under his radar for so many years. It hurts him to know he had technically allowed all that to happen. How could Emmet have trusted him so easily? It's a miracle that he managed to get through to Emmet. No wonder the Rebels treated him so distrustfully for so long. Can Emmet ever really forgive him?

Emmet took advantage of Ingo's sincerity and he doesn't think he can ever forgive himself for that. He wanted to use him and that only changed because he caught Feelings. But he was fully ready to use Ingo to his own advantage. Even if Ingo reassures him that he doesn't resent or hate him, Emmet can't help but feel horrible for what he did.

It's gonna take a lot of work for both of them to find peace and absolve their guilt. Though never fully, but at least get comfortable with it.

Everyone being happy to have Ingo on their side save for Emmet who is terrified that Ingo now also has a big target on his back by the powers that be.

This should have gone along with the Paranoia ask from earlier oop. But Yeah, definitely. Ingo feels secure in his position, he's getting properly accepted by the revels around him. Except... Emmet is now worried that Ingo won't be safe. What if the Advisors decided a falsely claimed Dead King to turn the people's hate further against the Rebels as a tactic? What if they killed Ingo to make it true? It's Scary and uncertain and Emmet doesn't think that Ingo is safe and he can only do so much to protect him....

Wait if Emmets potentially getting executed does that post the potential of him being executed, like, publicly? Cause if Ingo and the rebels rescue Emmet publicly and it becomes pretty obvious that Ingo is on the side of the rebels that could turn public opinion in the rebels favor by, like, a lot.

That Is a good point 🤔 making a show of executing the Rebel Leader would definitely make the message as clear as possible, which I'm sure the advisors would want. But the fact that Ingo would crash it with the Rebels would certainly reflect poorly on their actions. But I could definitely see it that way. They're so sure their security would be enough that they don't consider the fact that Ingo is Actively working with them. And waiting until Emmet is in public to grab him and bring him to safety is cutting it close, but it also minimizes a lot of other risks.

Ingo rescues his brother and doesn't have the time or means to explain himself, so he lets his actions speak for him. Ingo didn't seem very Captured if he was running back into the Castle Town to save the Rebel leader. It'll make a good foundation to build support off of as time moves on.

Do Emmet and Ingo initially try to keep a lid on their relationship at first? After they sort out their relationship I mean. Like do they try to meet and be intimate in private but can't help but be close even in public.

They are so in love it's hard to completely hide it. At least they can get away with being close in public to some degree, but they at least _try_ to keep it somewhat subtle. If anyone were to watch too closely, it would likely raise suspicion, but they try to keep it casual where others can see them. In private though, all of that goes out the window. There is no reason to hide just how much they mean to each other when it's just them!

Emmets paranoia may extend a bit to Ingo? Like, now Ingos safety is his and the rebels responsibility.

I could definitely see that. Emmet wants to keep Ingo Safe. They were separated for so long, and there was no way to know how many people would rather see Ingo killed than working together with the Rebel Leader? The Rebels also don't want Ingo dead at this point. He can help smooth over the transition, he's an important part of the plan now. So having 24/7 defense for Ingo is a priority. Emmet makes sure of it
