Concert was awesome. Having a male EMT trying to freaking chastise you for going to Vegas while pregnant was not. Umm 1) I’m only 14 weeks, 2) I live in freaking hot temps with humidity but grew up in dry heat like Vegas and know how to handle heat, 3) I kept out of the sun, 4) I kept well hydrated before and during the concert, 5) I wasn’t sitting there wanting to go back to the floor and was willing to consider finding a way back to the hotel if the venue couldn’t seat me in what I knew would be a downgraded seat during Rammstein’s portion because I know my body well enough to know when the ER is necessary. The female EMT was pointing out smells made her nauseated during pregnancy and my BP came down in a reasonable amount of time to fit with my theory that I overexerted because I love Korn and was dancing up a storm. For the love of all things good, guy, you’ve never been pregnant and a 29yo should know her body. I’ve had your level of medical training and was licensed to do it til I let it lapse due to no jobs in my area at the time. -.-
But I felt baby move for the second time the next morning. So, ha!
But I do know I will choose to sit out this year’s Aftershock festival despite wanting to see Ozzy and FFDP.
Shout out to the Toyota Amphitheater’s staff and the rest of the EMS personnel that night who helped me and knew my stats firsthand.
