I am still lost on several things.
Throughout my journeys through Time and Space, I have only encountered one fixed point in time- the death of Nathaniel Richards- and one locked point in time- the death of Owen Reece.
With Nathaniel, nothing I do can prevent the event from occurring and it always occurs the same. Nathaniel and I are a couple, we take shelter or refuge or a take a trip to a museum over the old world von Doom and Nathaniel is killed by the Maker, stating "Goodbye Kang" and scarring my face. I think find a box from the Damocles and I'm warped to Hala.
That never changes. If the world is a dystopia or a utopia, if it is on fire or still Latveria. It is always going to be leading to us in that basement and us being affected by the Maker.
I can't even alter the box. The Damocles will just alter whatever box is sent. Maker kills Nathaniel and scars my face, and I get sent to Hala. It cannot be changed.
Reece's incident is different. I can't enter this reality at all during the temporal period for a standard Earthen twenty-four hours. Anywhere. Space and Time are entirely locked out to me in any capacity.
What I have also observed is changes within the stream as well. Reece always loses his father to the android, he becomes a pathetic little boy, he gets a job at Acme Atomics, they get bought by Stark Industries, they experience a particle explosion, Reece is gone.
But I can go to the points before and after. Trying to alter the purchase of Acme Atomics doesn't work. Sometimes, I know, it is the effects of Iron Superior and the Maker. Sometimes it seems something else stops the blocking of the purchase from occurring at all.
I can get into the building and I have met Owen Reece. He is a worthless little man. But I am physically incapable of telling him what is happening. I can't get him fired. I can't get him to leave. Building explodes and he is gone.
Noticeably, every time, the Superiors express regret at the destruction of Acme Atomics, and the death of the singular individual Owen Reece. "Mister Superior" is always there too, so I have to believe the Maker has an interest in what occurred there.
Considering it was his android that killed Owen's father, and it was the Kingpin's Punisher that killed Owen's mother.
Then I remember what Kang the Conqueror was trying to do when she stole the M'Kraan Crystal and conquerored the Skrull and Kree and Shi'ar. She wanted to travel back to 3,000 BC., roughly, and create a fixed point in time there. Her plan was to alter the past and prevent Nathaniel's death by subplanting herself as the God Conqueror of that time.
The M'Kraan Crysal would have allowed to bridge the gap from those two time periods but not create a pure temporal loop to enable a fixed point. I am not sure why Nathaniel's death or Owen's death are fixed and locked, respectively, but I don't know how her plan would have worked. I know it required the Damocles, but I haven't built it yet.
Kang the Conqueror hadn't either. She implied it was built beyond our own future, but still by our hands.
And then there is the matter of what would have she done? Only two known major incidents occurred during that time: En Sabuh Nur defeated a Pharaoh and claimed dominion over Egypt and all of Africa, and the fabled city of Atlantis was destroyed. I don't see how either of those matter, in any Reality.
