Carter looked over at the girl, something was quite off about her, he squinted a bit at her, looking over her. âUm, itâs okay. Iâm not mad, itâs my fault for leaving it unlocked.â he said to her, she was feeling her way around. He walked around, âUm, here let me lead you to a seat.â he said, kind of afraid sheâd knock something over and hurt herself, she wasnât even using a cane. He got near her, but he didnât feel right kind of guiding herâŠ.âUm, are you okay finding itâŠ..I just.â he rubbed the back of his head, as he reached over and locked the door. he wasnât sure how to approach this situation.
She shook her head and swallowed, pushing his thoughts out of her head, she didnât want to peep, she hated the stream of thoughts that came through and she was honestly really trying not to hear his, but they slipped and she sighed. âNo--no Iâm okay.â She defended her independence as she held a gentle hand on the shelf to her right, swallowing and using his thoughts his sight to map where she was in the store, âIâll be okay--know this town inside and out.â She laughed, and her knee slammed into the corner of the counter, and she hissed in pain.
