Having to do what’s the best for those better good and people? Gross. He was too selfish and couldn’t imagine that being attractive to anyone. Even to Garnet who had grown up in such an environment seemed more than happy to ditch it at the first opportunity. Not like he would judge her. 

“Why don’t you look for buried treasure or something?” Perhaps it might strike her as an odd suggestion, but while Amarant was a bounty hunter, he also couldn’t help but be a bit of a treasure hunter as well. Besides, you never knew what kind of handy weapon you could find buried in some treasure.

“Wandering is fine and all, but you’re still kind of a beginner. Especially since you’ll mostly be on your own.” He remarks, trying to appear as casual as possible to not seem as if he of all people is giving out friendly advice. He just thought it would be a waste for her to end up in any serious trouble, that’s all.

“Maybe make some kind of goal. That way you get your freedom but aren’t just wandering around with your head in the sand.”  | ✸ |

“S’not like I blame you.”

Dagger could not help but to smile a little at that. Sure, she had been raised that way.. but as a child, it was good and all since she was a curious child. Always had something to ask questions of for things she didn’t understand and wanted to know. But growing up... and having such restrictions placed on her... yeah, no. That was certainly something she didn’t like in the end. There was a reason she had to... leave home. At first, she was going to seek Uncle Cid for help but... in the end, her choice of leaving Alexandria turned out to be a real experience. Something she’d be willing to do again.

Buried treasure, huh? She looked over toward him, a curious look in her eye. Dagger looked forward once more, pondering over his words then. “I suppose that would mean going outside of the Mist Continent with no clues to find out whether or not if there are buried treasures that you speak of. Or... have you heard of any particular clues to seek out?” Her head tilted for a moment then. Yeah, she seemed okay with going with that for now as a goal without needing to voice it aloud. It was honestly better than nothing to go by. Clues... the most she could think of was going based off of stories at the Library... but that would also sound rather out there, doesn’t it?

Gaining knowledge is always one way to go. Seeking treasure is another way to go about it. Either way, treasure hunting on its own is a sure-fire way to get going on any of the paths and possibly diverging from it to find out one thing or another. It was almost enough to say it’d be another adventure. An.. excitement (so to speak) to go for.
