One night, while walking the inner streets of Chicago after a job he noticed a slim beautiful women named Beatrice wearing a green dress with long flowing red hair being mugged by a petty criminal, and Johnny V confronted the weak looking criminal pointing a gun and said "I work for Corleone. If I were you, I would give that women's purse back before you are put at the bottom of the Hudson". The thief, knowing that Corleone was a leader of a powerful mob family, dropped the purse and ran for it. The women thanked him, and Johnny V walked her home. She asked him who was Corleone, to which he said that it was just his job and that he noticed her in distress and had never seen a women more beautiful. Seing that his eyes were true, she also fell in love with him at that instant. Within a few days they saw each other again, meeting in in Cafes where Johnny V knew his accomplices would not go. Johnny V fell hopelessly in love with her, and started to neglect his duties with the Mob family more and more over the course of two weeks.

Finally he spots him, and a chase ensues as he runs through the crowds celebrating and finally we find our self at the final confrontation between Johnny V and Bart on the fourth story of an old Bourbon Street absinthe bar. Johnny V yells "why did you kill her!" to which Bart exclaims "I knew it was the only way to prove my point! We are the leaders of Chicago!" Johnny V goes to pull his gun, but Bart is quicker and hits him in the leg. Johnny V still is able to fire his pistol and hits Bart in the chest, and Bart goes back into the rail clutching his chest. Finally Bart exclaims "dont you realize what you have done...brother!" before falling to the ground. Johnny V goes to him and looks into his eyes, finally realizing the truth; that Bart is actually his brother, that they were separated at birth. Johnny V says "I'm sorry brother. It didn't have to be this way!" Bart looks at him and say "I love you brother. You have to do my one favor as my dying wish. You have to get out. You have to have a family and leave this nasty business behind". Johnny V looks deeply at him and says "I swear it". Finally, Bart dies and Johnny V drags his body to the Bayou where he scatters his ashes. Johnny V moves to Spain and starts a family with a Spanish girl named Inez, leaving his old life of crime behind as he promised his brother.
