Progress on my late Victorian outfit. the combination underwear on its own and the silk petticoat.
The Greyhound Hat
Back at the bobbin lace after a long hiatus.
I finally finished this torchon lace border after three years, two house moves, and two prolonged periods of leaving it forgotten in the back of the closet.
I learned so much from this project, and although it isn't perfect by any means, I'm incredibly happy to have finished it.
I had some yellow silk left so I made an 18th century pocket with a trailing rose design on it. I think I might replace the ribbon because all I had on hand was a synthetic ribbon and next time I would reinforce the silk layer with some more linen to stop it from wrinkling so much.
The Waist'goat'
I ended up knitting a simple infinity scarf with the rainbow yarn I spun the other week. I managed to get it finished in time for Pride Month.
Thought I'd get back into spinning this week with mixed results. I've managed to put together a 100g skein of this fingering weight rainbow and teal gradient merino.
I'm going to make a rainbow scarf or cowl for Pride Month.
Sometimes you need to take inspiration from the world around you. I really enjoyed designing this daffodil tam hat. It has a bit of a medieval vibe about it. Pattern incoming.
