Laws of the Land
Do you want to write with one of the major characters, like Jon, Dany, Sansa, or Robb? Come ask!
Do you want to write with a less prominent like Jory, Jeyne Poole, or Lancel? Come ask!
I have typed up some basic skeleton info for the Stark Family. Do not assume just because I haven’t posted information about the character you want to write with that they are unavailable. Chances are, when you ask, I’ll toss up a skeleton.
This is not a free for all. I love original characters, I do. But I do require that they fit into the universe in question. So, at the very least, please have information available about your muse on your blog.
Be prepared to discuss and plot. If you have an idea, chances are, you’re going to get a response a lot sooner then if I have to come up with something.
Canon Divergence is fine. In fact, my favorite role plays became canon divergent because of the present of original characters. I don't want to replicate the storyline exactly. That’s the point. One life can make the difference.
Is your character an additional legitimate child of one of the major houses of Westeros? While you are still eligible to write with this blog, we will need to discuss and plot.
Crossover adapations-are lovely, but I will not be writing with canon muses from other fandoms. You might have a chance of catching someone’s eye elsewhere, and this blog is exclusively for original characters.
Shipping is fine until it is out of character. For instance, don’t expect Jaime Lannister will put aside his feelings for Cersei instantly because of your muse’s existence.
However if you want to write a romantic storyline, don’t be scared to talk to me! While we might not be able to do insta-ship, we might be able to work out a story line that makes sense.
At the moment, this blog has exactly one writer, who does have a life asides from this blog. So please be patient, and understand that some of my muses are stronger then others.
There is a possibility, however limited, we won’t be able to come to terms on a storyline or something we can write for your OC and a canon character desired. I will take some discretion to say no if it just won’t work, or can’t fit.
Blog is under construction! I am attempting to create a full list with basic skeleton information on each of the characters and my confidence in writing them. However, uh, George R.R. Martin has created a shit ton of characters. We forget that because of how many he killed.
This blog is not going to specially format small text or use icons at this time. It is possible exactly one icon of each character will be saved to identify them in threads at a quick look.
Smut-at present, not going to happen. I mean, for one, a shocking number of the cast spend a shocking amount of the series under age. I have added three years to each of their base ages from the beginning of the books, as seemingly done in the show, but the number still boggles the mind.
Sorry to drag down with all the rules, but for now that’s all I’ve got. Oh, one more rule:

The Purpose of This Blog
Well, hello there! If you’re like me you’ve noticed some preferential treatment in the Game of Thrones and Song of Ice and Fire RP community here on Tumblr. Now, the fact is, I don’t blame anyone for acting like that. When you’re playing a muse in a fandom, you already have bias towards other muses from the fandom.
Original characters are unknown factors, and most people don’t know them. That said, it still sucks for those of us who write original characters and feel alone.
Thus, this blog was conceptualized-inspired by the sort of RP guidelines that kick started some of my longest friendships.

A Song of Ice and Fire vs A Game of Thrones
There are differences in George R. R. Martin’s massive fantasy saga, and HBO’s adaptation.
The most prominent is ages of the cast. For the purposes of this blog, the majority of ages will be based on on their show counter parts by adding three years to the age they began at in the books. Thus our ‘Season 1/Book 1′ timeline would be 300AC-not 297AC.
Interpretation of the muses and their actions will be blended between show and books, and can be discussed between Muns for a case by case basis.
