Leviathan grew up in the Hat Manor with Flug as his constant— the parent who was always there. The one who stayed up late, who answered every question, who made room for him in a place that was never designed to be warm. Levi loves his father with the kind of loyalty that doesn't need to be explained. It just is.
Black Hat came into the picture later. And Levi's feelings about that are... complicated. He doesn't hate him. He doesn't trust him the way he trusts Flug. He keeps his distance the way you keep distance from something you haven't decided about yet. But Flug is married to this “man” so genuinely, completely, in that frustrating way that can't be argued with so Levi makes room. Not for Black Hat's sake. For Flug's.
He graduated from the Black Hat Academy alongside his best friend Miel, which is the only part of that institution he's fully at peace with.
