First framed sketch....
I've just begun a series of 'woven sketches'...
I visited DesignJunction in the old CSM building today. I was struck by the amount of lighting that features textiles in some form, including one made out of silk cocoons.
A stack of kneelers with lovely cross stitch patterns.
Beautiful carving in Cirencester parish church
Portobello/Goldbourne roads as inspiring as ever....
Beautiful cocktails at the Boundary
Corny, I know, but who doesn't love a rainbow?
I've just finished retiling the fireplace in my workroom with mirror tiles, very Art Deco!
It must be spring! I had such an urge for a brilliant green yarn, I had to get my spindle out and spin it. Here it is being woven into a very leafy sample.
Just bought some interesting new yarns from the Handweavers Studio and have begun thinking about designs...
These are photos taken at an exhibition of Jacquard designs from Lyon at Rodney Archer's house in Spitalfield. All of them are done by hand on squared paper...
Latest collection...
A festive feast of frosty photos!
Not often you see an abandoned site in the middle of town, even if it is Axminster.
Waiting for a frame...
Constructing worlds is a must, full of geometry, pattern, textures…. The last photo is my homage to the theme of the exhibition and the incredible architecture of the Barbican!
