Zombie Survival Lore/Guidelines:
a priestess made deals with survivors outside of bedlam to reanimate corpses of their loved ones struck down by the pandemic.
for a price, they would come back. though some are capable of maintaining their former attitudes, there are several warnings one should take note of before calling this a blessing.
upon being brought back, side effects may include being pale, immune to injury other than serious damage to the brain or skull, and must be sustained by human flesh or organs. hunger may vary.
should a zombie refrain or resist this hunger (an extraordinary feat, mind you), they become delirious. a plunge even further away from humanity ensues and they grow skeletal within a month at most, lose the ability to think properly as the frontal lobes of the brain die out. an active, if cadaverous body moves eerily fast, but cannot be reached like someone still in the first stage might be.
if a stage one zombie bites someone alone, their saliva will contaminate their bloodstream. nothing will take effect unless the victim dies. if a zombie feeds on someone to the point of death but does not clean the body wholly, they're susceptible to come back from the dead as well.
outside of bedlam is a vast wasteland with safe zones sparsely spread out, good luck to you if you've survived thus far.
you are free to:
work with black magic, voodoo, necromancy or literally anything to raise zombies of your own, or have storylines similar. remember, this is whatever the hell you want! have fun and let loose! the gorier the better! (everything should be tagged/read mored appropriately)
make a stage one zombie - hell yeah? why not! try not to get yourself shot and killed?
(lmk if there's anything i should add here/if you've got any ideas/updates/if i left shit out)
