She shook her head. Perhaps he misunderstood her. It wasn’t hard to believe that she, a young girl of Targaryen blood with silver blonde hair and violet eyes, was the rumoured survivor from the slaying that was the Sacking of King’s Landing. But that was not she. She was a bastard girl. No more. Not that it would matter to anyone who discovered the truth of who she was. She would be slain where she stood. And, if they didn’t kill her right away, they would torture her in hopes for information until she was of no use to them. Then she would die and be mounted on a spike like the rest who were rivals to the King and his family. ”I didn’t think you had noticed any of my readings. It’s good to know I’ve made quite the impression on those in the castle and those outside of it. Money well earned.” Lyanna hadn’t noticed his hand on her shoulder when he reached for her, but when he took his hand back and let it fall to his side, she missed the warmth and the comfort that it provided. His words softened the expression on her face and she chewed on the inside of her cheek. “I am not who you think I am. I am not she. The true Targaryen girl they gossip about who lives across the sea. I am just a bastard girl. But I too hope that our rightful Queen reaches the Throne.” She had seen visions. Glimpses of a blonde who looked vaguely like herself sitting upon the Iron Throne. But the next vision would bring Joffery into her mind. Then Renly. The Robb. Then Stannis. Even Tommen had found his way onto the Iron Throne in her mind. So she knew not of who would win, only that Milo was right. She could feel it in the air around them, and a breeze blew into the stable in agreement to her passing thoughts. This world was a dangerous one. It was a dangerous and terrifying world that would only grown harsher by the passing moment. But suddenly Milo was on the back of Joffery’s horse. He looked down at her, hand extended down to her. Her jaw fell slack, leaving her mouth gaping open in surprise and in awe. She glanced around her once more, but her eyes found his. They were magnets and she wouldn’t be able to break their connection until she answered his question. She always carried a bit of gold and silver on her person, and her tarot cards never left her side. She didn’t own anything else of value. They could run away. Neither of them had anything truly keeping them here. She was bound by a secret and he was bound by an involuntary contract. Both could easily be broken, so long as they made it out of King’s Landing.
Was it safe for them to go? Would they get caught? How far would they make it? Would they even bother sending anyone after them? Where would they go? These where all questions Lyanna would never be able to answer with her abilities. With a nod, she reached up and grabbed onto his hand. ”Take me with you, Milo. Don’t leave me here.”
He would be lying if he didn't admit that he was afraid. Yet fear was just another enemy he had conquered on the never ending battlefield of his life. They were taking a huge risk by leaving, but it was worth it to be free. ---- He was ready to go.
He doesn't hesitate to pull her up onto the horse, he wasn't just going to leave her behind. They'd kill her for letting him escape. She was a friend, someone he could trust.
Making sure she was secure on the horse, it doesn't take long for him to give the animal a gentle nudge with his foot. He's the one who trained the beast after all. The animal takes the hint, && gallops out of the stables.
The entire kingdom was at the feast with the king, the amount of guards on watch would be limited, so they had chosen the right time to flee from the hellish kingdom. A storm was coming, Milo could feel it in his bones.
The horse's speed picked up considerably as they dashed down the empty streets. Their luck had been good so far, yet things weren't always so simple. A few of the royal guard happened to be drinking out on the streets, yet they only watched as the horse sped by.
Milo glanced over his shoulder. They still did nothing.
He found it odd that they hadn't stopped to think about who had just passed them, they had beaten him before, and left him to die. They were fools, && he could only hope that they'd be punished for being so foolish. He slows the horse once they're out of King's Landing, and a good mile away.
"Do you know of any small towns where we could stop at?"
Although they'd have to lay low for a few days. And that meant nonstop moving from place to place for awhile.
i already have enough muses, yet i decided it’d be a great idea to make a jon snow. if you want the url, message me. he’s going to be exclusive since i don’t have all the time in the world to focus solely on him.

"Very much so. I’ve never met someone so cruel. To see that you have adjusted… Well, it’s disheartening. I’m sorry.” She looked around, her hair flowing behind like a cloud of mist. While they were having a moment of honestly and a chance to finally say what everyone had been thinking, she didn’t want anyone to hear. They need not die because someone overheard their conversation. Lyanna agreed with him. Rhaegar should have been king. But she was wholeheartedly bias to the idea of the Targaryen prince being on the throne above the Baratheon bastard. “It’s what happened when you play the game of thrones. You either win or you die. There is no middle ground and no room for mercy or kindness.” She curled her fingers into the beast’s mane and looked into Milo’s eyes as he spoke to her. They were dark but soft. He seemed inviting. Her heart and mind were in agreement. He was someone she could put her trust in. The feeling, knowing that she wasn’t completely alone in this moment of time, made the weight on her shoulders decrease. “You know who I am. The family I belong to. I saw it in your eyes the moment we met, and yet you kept it to yourself. I knew I could trust you then… But hearing-” She cut herself off and shook her head. Once she said the words, she could not take them back. There were times Lyanna wished she see her own future, and this was one of them. Would this better her life, or would it make it worse? It was a gamble, and it was one she was willing to take. “You know who I am, but what I am able to do is what makes me stay in King’s Landing. I’m not sure of the rumours you may have heard about me, but most of them are true.” “I have the Sight. People pay to have their futures read and, in a desperate time like the one we all live in - The War of Five Kings, they’re calling it - if I can be an advisor to those around me, then that is both fortunately and unfortunately my future.” Her hands were shaking. She had spoken quietly, but all the secrets which she had kept bottled up left her trembling. She hoped he wouldn’t believe she was crazy. Maybe he wouldn’t keep her secret after all, but she pray he would.
From the snow white hair, and the violet eyes he had known. He had also heard many stories, also relayed as rumors, that a Targaryen walked among them. He had not believed them until he had collided with her months ago. Ever since then he had been quick to keep her secret. She did not deserve such a betrayal.
The only betrayal that had occurred in King's Landing was the death of Eddard Stark. The Lord of Winterfell had always been someone that Milo had held with high regard. But it appeared that all the good people were being slaughtered by the wretched.
"Yes, I knew, why do you think I held you with such high regard? My kindness was true, as was my respect. The Targaryen's were good to my family. And you have shown me kindness that no one else has." He explains.
"I only pray that the true ruler regains the thrown."
He places a gentle hand upon her shoulder, it's a sign of comfort and support. For once the warrior's touch is gentle. He can only nod to show that he believes her.
"I've heard rumors, yes, but the proof is when your readings come true. && they all have."
His hand soon drops to his side, fearing he's crossed a boundary. He glances at the horse again, temptation to flee King's Landing in his eyes. Things were collapsing around them. He wouldn't be surprised if Joffrey ended up dead soon.
He was only a child whom believed himself to be a man.
"I fear that things are going to become even worse around here, I'm beginning to believe that leaving is the only way to survive."
He reveals, and one final glance at the horse determines his fate.
He's climbing onto its back.
"What would your response be if I asked you to come with me?"
If anyone deserves to live, it's her.

She listened to his words without making eye contact with him. She was worried she would say something she wasn’t supposed to or accidentally tell him about his future without even realizing it. Lyanna kept quiet and listened to the deep tone of his voice speak. It was brief, his time spent speaking, but she appreciated it. “I’ve seen the way he treats you. If that’s surviving, I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy.” She didn’t need to say who he was. They both knew. She moved her way up the horse’s neck until she found herself scratching underneath his cheekbone. The beast leaned into her touch and nickered at her. She laughed softly, shaking her head. “Beyond the Wall?” She was surprised. They brought him to King’s Landing rather than make him serve as one of the Night’s Watch. She didn’t question it, but nodded her head and looked at him finally. “Essos is beautiful. Nothing like Westeros… I don’t know why I haven’t left yet. I-” She cut herself off, looking away and to her feet. Her heart and her head hurt. She’d spent so much time keeping her life and her history a secret. Was she willing to risk everything now? For a slave she barely knew? She barely knew him, but he had been kinder than most to her without any real reason to be. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you why I was still here. Why I hadn’t run away, back to Essos.”
"Is it wrong to that say that I'm used to it? I've grown numb to the abuse, he's a weak king, quick to lose his temper. He'll be dead soon if he keeps it up."
"Outside the wall it was a harsh life, but a free one. There were no slaves, or kings. We all decided our own fate until Baratheon stole that from us. Rheagar was respectful in that regard, it's a shame he had to die. He should have been King."
He smiled faintly at the sound her laughter, yet he kept his eyes locked on the beast. Even the horses were slaves, he was similar to the animal in that regard. He longed for freedom.
"I've heard, it sounds like a nice place."
"I've only seen the snows of the north, and this hell hole. I haven't been anywhere else in the Seven Kingdoms."
He's heard of the armies that were brewing in different locations. Stannis in the north, and the Mother of Dragons somewhere unknown. The clash of the opposing sides would either lead to a rebirth, or the destruction of the world.
"I've seen many things, you've been nothing but kind, and truthful every time we've spoken. I will believe you. I will not betray your trust, you've kept my secrets, so I shall keep yours."
"Tell me, who are you really?"

Relief hit Margeary like a ton of bricks. Her family may have chance of survival yet. “It pleases me greatly to hear you say that, Milo. You shall not regret this, I promise you.” She smiled sincerely to the man and laughed at his praise for her caution. “I have no doubt of your performance. Truly, I heard a great many things from the other servants. Please, eat. Anything you like. You look famished.” “I have always been a woman of family. It’s in my blood. Many say I’m a natural born mother. If not for my family, I truly would be lost.” Margaery motioned for Milo to join her to sit at the table. Saying so, she herself felt hungry. Grabbing an apple she glanced at Milo. “Have you any family, Milo?”
He's actually surprised the other slaves speak of him so fondly, and for a moment he's tempted to ask her to free them all once she's queen. Yet, he has no right to ask her for something like that.
He's only a s l a v e.
"I thank you, your grace, but I'm fine."
He's weary when she offers for him to sit at her table. He is not high born like her, and such notion could get him killed. He had been taught to know his place, yet he sits.
"I did once, but they were murdered by King Robert."
"I witnessed it all when I was a child, they slaughtered us all because we didn't conform to his commands, my family served Rheagar."

She walked slowly over to where Milo and the horse which he was petting. He seemed at ease around the animal, which was more than she could say for their first encounter. “That doesn’t mean you cannot learn something new or different, Milo.” Raising her hand slowly, she began to stroke the beast’s neck. She watched his head nod and her felt her heart race. She listened and found herself nodding along with his words. Lyanna understood. But she also knew there was more to life than what existed inside the castle walls. “You could escape to Essos. You could have another life.” She paused, looking away before looking back to him. “I lived there once. And will do so again when the time is fruitful and right… You don’t have to live this life if you do not want to.”
Growing up around horses had made his ability to calm the animals rather easy, he knew how to care for them, and show them mercy when it was needed. He kept his hand on the horses snout, for a moment he was tempted to ride off on the animal, and not look back.
"I know how to survive, that's good enough."
He watched her pet the animal for a moment, before looking away. At least she was gentle, not many in King's Landing were. Many men rode their horses to the death, which Milo found to be revolting.
"I've never been to Essos, I used to live beyond the wall."
"And why couldn't you leave? I'm tempted to right now, I always am. The idea of not having to serve some King grows more appealing everyday. Joffrey is worse than his father."
"Living under a king is slavery within its self."
"And what is stopping you from leaving?"
drafts are my main priority.

“I’m sorry to have been a bother to you then, kind ser.” She smoothed her hands down the skirt of her dress and looked around the stable. It was a clean place… Or as clean as one could make a stable look. She knew the horses were at least being well taken care of. “If you look at everything through a grain of salt, you’ll never find anything more than misery.” She paused and lowered her voice even softer. “Have you thought of leaving?” She sucked her bottom lip in between her teeth and cursed herself. She had thought of leaving before. Many of times. Maybe he’d read her face and see that. Hopefully he’d see the innocence in her question and not think anything worse of her.
"You haven't been a bother, I do appreciate the reminder."
He continued to stroke the horse's head, hands running over the smooth coat. All he was good at was fighting, and caring for the royal stable. Otherwise, the king viewed him as worthless.
"MISERY, and pain are all that I know."
Her question renders him speechless for a moment, and he can only nod. Yes, he's thought about it, but how far would he get before he was caught? They'd send him to the wall before they allowed him his freedom.
"I have, many times. But what is there for me beyond the life of a slave?"
