I know two facts about Sara Meleika.
1 - she is a wonderful improviser
2 - she has the world’s greatest collection of shirts
Studio portrait by me
Kate is a force to be reckoned with. She brings a whole lot of smart and funny to any situation. She made time in her extremely busy schedule for a portrait session. One of my favourite of all time. Huge thank you! Makeup by Caroline Mégélas | ProMakeup Artist
Some days are too grey for even a good cup of coffee to fix
Selena looking fiercely towards the future. Shot at Under Pressure 2018
Yet another shot from my time at the LA Center for Photography @natashatinaliu was a presence in front of the camera. Lots of fun capturing images of her
Model and actor Angela Jaymes looking wayyyyyyy up. Another photo from the
A second shot from the workshop I took in LA the past December. It was an amazing experience to be immersed into the world of lighting that Miranda Penn Turin created for us. More photos to come...
Here's my first shot from the workshop I took at the Los Angeles Center For Photography The workshop was an amazing experience. I'm looking forward to posting more portraits from it over the coming weeks
Trevor manages to bring the moon closer to people. And not just by magnifying it with his telescope. He brings it closer to people's hearts. In times of fair weather, you can find him in a variety of spots around the city showing people the wonders of the cosmos. Check out @plateau_astro to know when and where you can run into Trevor and his telescope
A week ago, I attended a workshop at the LA Center for Photography. It was great to meet new people, learn new things and spend some time in the sun. I'll be posting my favourite shots from the workshop soon. The workshop had nothing to do with palm trees
This is Magiicarts. I don’t know much about him other than he is patient. I sent him looking for his portrait in a FB gallery. But his portrait wasn’t there. I had somehow forgotten it. There were a few emails of me telling him to just look again before I realized I had made the mistake. All is right in the universe now I edited his shots and sent them his way. And I’m glad that happened. Because I got to take a second look at this shot. One of my favourite from the portrait session I did at Under Pressure 2018
Dog sitting this little nugget has been a delight. It’s gonna be real hard to say goodbye in a couple of weeks
I finished my second level photoshop class. Here’s my final project. I wanted to keep it portrait based. So I created the super hero team the world neither needs nor deserves... The B Squad!
Come for a head shot. Stay for one of these. When your subject shows up with glasses like these, the photo session isn’t done until you find a look that does justice to them.
The drummer drums in the void to no one in particular.
My favourite part of this shoot was after we wrapped, I ran into a neighbor in the building. He told me the drumming was extremely audible. But so good, he had no problem letting it continue. Be the best and no one can say anything to you. Way to go Marky Beats!
The shot that didn’t get used. The good folks at Parts+Labour Danse asked me to shoot a show poster in the summer. Here’s the alternate shot.
