in the daily noise . silence presents the challenge . to stop and listen

adjusting focus . we can hear the trees respond . to the falling rain

dancing

seeing the raindrops . dancing across the window . tells us a story

[uptownjack]

representation

in our reactions . a story is understood . it’s personalized

[uptownjack]

focus

it is important . to understand and control . what we focus on

[uptownjack]

hope

it may sound cheesy . but where there is light, there’s hope . even in chaos

[uptownjack]

moments

to see a moment . is to live in its passing . and smile when it’s gone

[uptownjack]

caution

when it is unclear . if the warning’s old or new . proceed with caution

[uptownjack]

conditions

power is shifted . almost without noticing . as conditions change

[uptownjack]

sensations

we cannot describe . the sound a picture makes . but we can hear it

[uptownjack]

pause

the repetition . of daily life can be paused . to catch a moment

[uptownjack]

ignorance

a dripping faucet . until it has been repaired . doesn’t know better

security

the expectation . is that someone will answer . when we’re in trouble

manipulation

manipulation . can easily overwhelm . rational thinking

[uptownjack]

instructions

human behavior . is only as competent . as its instructions

[uptownjack]

memories

memories repeat . but we may not realize . that each time they change

[uptownjack]

decisions

the right decision . may be the one that’s hidden . slightly out of view
