You can lower the bottom line, but can't allow been stepped on all over. You can give up everything for love, but you can't give up self- respect. Greed, hatred and delusion ( 貪, 嗔, 癡 ) are three poisons in Buddhism teaching. It is always a challenge for us to stay away from them.
