Hi, I’m Aoe.
Before getting to the main topic, please let me tell a few words. On March 1st, we returned to Japan without any incidents. I really appreciate all the people I’ve met through this OEAP program. Thank you all.
For me, it is a hard thing to choose the most favorite memory because everything was so precious. If I have to select one of them, however, a life at Uni Lodge is the best. There are two reasons. One reason is that I could have interactions with other students, including Japanese. They talked to me freely and taught a lot about Australia and UQ. I knew something that I’ve never heard, for example some culture differences and the way of Australian university life. To my joy, after this first conversations, they greeted me every time we met at our dormitory. All of them were so friendly! In this way, taking a communication positively was really interesting and fun. Another reason is that I could improve self-management ability. Contrary to daily life in Japan, I had to do everything, household and suchlike, by myself. I keenly came to understand how much my mother always supports me. Also, thanks to the established habit of keeping regular hours, I have an orderly lifestyle even after coming back to Japan. I feel I become mentally independent a little compared to before.
The picture below is the first one I took when I arrived in Australia. Looking back on the three weeks, I feel once again that everything was so memorable. Although only a week has passed since I came back to Japan, I already miss Australia. If I have a chance someday, I absolutely want to go back there again😌
