This beautiful little Orchard Orb-weaver had her web torn apart by the wind last night. I check on her every morning when I take my dog Paige out, and today I found her perched on a sweater my youngest left draped over the railing.

By afternoon, she had already rebuilt it. Every thread shimmering in the sunlight like nithing had happened, this web better than the last.

These spiders are sometimes called Weavers of Light because their silk reflects rainbow hues, catching bits of dawn and dusk in every strand.

Thought she was too lovely not to share.
