Not to be Like That but Cobra Starship were a good and actually very talented band and I don’t think they get enough credit for that. Like, yes they were a ‘party’ band but they were so good and their songs like The City Is At War and Smile For The Paparazzi had a lot of thought and relevance to life in Hollywood/as a celebrity in them and One Day Robots Will Cry is so beautiful and even the ‘party’ songs were clever and catchy. AND Gabe himself doesn’t get the treatment he deserves! He’s a really clever guy and an illegal immigrant who taught himself music (and made a career for himself from that) but bandom treats him as just some “drunk, loudmouth, crazy, funnyman” and yes he has some of those qualities but despite that (and despite his faults) he’s a genuinely smart and kind guy who doesn’t get the praise he deserves. Like, he was never just some “wild party guy” and Cobra, in my opinion, is really underrated
