I’d only known you by name at work,

Through emails, messages, passing notes.

A distant echo on a screen,

Just words that quietly float.

Then after three long years, by chance,

We met beyond that space.

Closure I needed to give myself...

I gave my heart honestly. I believed what you said and held onto that lil hope you gave me. I showed up with care, patience, and trust because I thought what we had meant something. I was being real and not playing games

It hurts to finally see the truth. The realization hit me deeply that I never meant anything to you. That realization came with pain, but also clarity. And even though it cost me a lot emotionally, I’m walking away knowing my feelings were genuine, and that still matters...

It matters to me...
