Safe Spaces on Tour…

Synopsis: Comforting Billie on tour !!

You found her in the back lounge of the bus, legs tucked under her, headphones half on. The lights were low, dimmed enough that you could see the street lights on her face. She looked up when you walked in, but didn’t say anything. She didn’t really need to.

You sat across from her and pulled a hoodie tighter around your shoulders. “You okay?” you asked, quietly. She nodded, taking the headphones off. “Yeah. Just... needed to be out of my own head for a minute.” You both sat there for a while, not talking, not filling the silence just to fill it. The sound of the tires took care of that.

Eventually, Billie shifted, reached out, and linked her fingers with yours on the couch between you. Her thumb ran along the side of your hand, slow and aimless. “Thanks for not making this a big deal,” she said. You squeezed her hand. That was it. Nothing grand.

Record Store… One of Billie’s favorite calmer dates is digging through old vinyls with you. She’ll hold up the weirdest covers and make you guess what genre it is, or secretly buy you random albums you said reminded you of your childhood. The best part? Getting home, putting it on, and slow dancing in the living room.

Thrift Shopping… Billie loves taking you to thrift stores for weird clothes and vintage junk. She’ll make you try on the most outrageous outfits just to see you laugh, then surprise you by actually pulling off something incredibly ugly. You leave with a random candle holder, a jersey she insisted on getting and a bunch of random photos.

Night Drives… Late at night when the world feels still, Billie takes you for drives through empty streets. No makeup, no cameras, just you two and the sound of tires on the road. She watches you from the corner of her eye as you talk about your day. She says you look even more beautiful under the street lights.

Breakfast in Bed… Sometimes Billie wakes up early just to surprise you. She tries to cook quietly, but you always hear her clattering around and cursing at the toaster. She brings you a slightly burnt but heartfelt breakfast, kisses your forehead, and snuggles in next to you. "Worth it," she whispers, every time.

Museums… On rare nights when she can sneak out unnoticed, Billie takes you to quiet museums or galleries. She’ll whisper jokes about the paintings, then turn serious and tell you how one of them reminds her of you. Her hand is warm in yours, and everything around you feels like a dream, but her eyes always come back to you.

Hotel Pools… On nights where you’re touring with her and need adventure, Billie will convince you to sneak into a hotel pool. You swim in your clothes, laugh too loud, and try not to get caught. Billie swears those secret, wet haired kisses feel better than anything else in the world.

Billie and you were sitting on the couch, talking about nothing, when her hand brushed against yours. Neither of you say anything, but she looked over at you and caught your eye, and for a second, it felt like everything slowed down. Billie gave you a small, awkward smile, like she wasn’t sure if it was okay to hold her hand, you lightly squeeze her hand to let her know it’s okay. It wasn’t dramatic at all, just real.

Later, you both shared a slice of cold pizza, laughing at some stupid joke on the TV. It wasn’t a big moment or some movie scene, it was just you both having fun, quiet and simple fun. And that was enough.

You’re halfway through the produce aisle when Billie holds up a bunch of green onions and ask, “Didn’t you say we were out of these?” You glance over from where you’re poking at avocados. “I said they were dying. There's a difference.” She raises an eyebrow. “They looked fully dead to me.” You shrug. “They had a few days left. Maybe.”

Billie tosses the onions into the cart anyway, along with something you’re pretty sure neither of you meant to buy. “You’re just making up excuses not to grocery shop again this week,” she says accusingly, bumping your hip with the cart as she passes by you. You smirk. “Obviously.” You keep moving, and so does she, both of you picking things up, putting them back, arguing over snacks like it’s the most natural thing in the world. It's not a big moment. Just her, you, and a list you’re not even really following.

You’re half-asleep when the door opens. Keys hit the counter. A quiet sigh. Then her voice, dry and familiar, “Is that my hoodie again?” You don’t even open your eyes. “Yup.” Billie lets the silence sit for a second. You can hear her pulling off her shoes, tossing her bag down with a soft thud. “It’s literally the same as yours,” she says.

“Yours is better,” you reply, voice muffled into the sleeve. “Don’t ask me why. It just is.” She walks over, drops onto the couch beside you, then leans down. Smells like her usual mix of coffee and whatever overpriced hotel soap they gave her. “Didn’t even wait up for me,” she teases, nudging your shoulder. “I was waiting,” you say, eyes still closed. “You were just taking forever.” Billie laughs quietly, then shifts until she’s halfway lying on top of you, one arm slung over your waist like it’s muscle memory. For a minute, neither of you says anything. “Okay… maybe it is better.” “Told you.”

A/N: It’s been two months but I am back !! Hope you guys enjoy this!! Part two is here !

Horseriding… Billie loves taking you on trails when riding. Watching the sunset while hearing the river run and then seeing you look stunning. Heaven to her. Seeing you be so sweet and loving to your horse, reminds her of why she fell in love with you.

Cooking… Unfortunately Billie can’t always go out due to paparazzi, so a lot of your dates are at home. She loves cooking/baking however and loves doing it with you. Though unfortunately it almost always turns out a mess due to you both playing with flour or being too busy making out to check on the food.

Paint and Sip… It was an idea you saw on TikTok, get a little tipsy and paint a portrait of your partner, easy right? Nope, both of you ended up drink waaaaaaay too much and the paintings turned out…. interesting. You both had fun though, you always do even with paint on your face.

Stargazing... Billie loves lying beside you under the open starry sky, wrapped in a blanket with you. She loves watching you explain the constellations with so much passion in your voice. The part of you that sees beauty in the smallest things.

Dancing at Home… The song wasn’t even romantic, just a random record Billie had playing in the background, but you grabbed her hand and pulled her in like it was the most natural thing in the world. You could hardly dance on beat but that didn’t matter to her, she just looked at you with so much love in her gaze.

Movie Night… You fell asleep halfway through the movie, head on her shoulder, popcorn everywhere. Billie muted the TV just to hear your soft breathing and sat there in the dark, not moving an inch, because you looked peaceful and so perfect she didn’t want to wake you up, ever.

Billie who will… buy you all the pretty makeup products you see on pinterest, all the gucci lipsticks, too faced highlighters, and the huda beauty eyeshadows. Loving when you text her photos of all the looks you created with the products while she’s at the studio.

Billie who will…. take you as her date to all the fashion shows/events you want to go to. The Vivienne Westwood runways, Paris fashion weeks. If you like something well enough she’ll try her hardest to buy the piece from the designer!

Billie who will… take tons of pics of you! You could be doing the most random thing and she’ll snap a picture of you, she just thinks you look gorge all the time! She also has no problem trying to get the most “aesthetic” shot for your pinterest.

Billie who will… hum melodies to you while you’re in bed together. It could be music she’s working on or your fav songs. She especially loves humming “My Love Mine All Mine” by Mitski to you late at night when you are falling asleep as she rubs your back.

Billie who will… handwrite you notes and letters. Whether it be a post it stuck to the bathroom mirror with baby’s breath or a three page long letter. She thinks it’s really important for there to be physical manifestations of her love to you. Especially when she’s busy touring.
