Rewatching JATP For The Somethingth Time: Observations (1x04 – I Got the Music)
– That opening sequence makes me so happy. Like yes, the song’s a total jam, but also… CONFIDENT JULIE!! Every time she sings “I got the music…”, I’m like “YES YOU DO QUEEN!”
– Okay, I am a fan of Julie’s whole wardrobe, but her outfits in this episode are SO good!
– Luke is the cutest air I’ve ever seen.
– Reggie and Julie’s fist bump is the most adorable thing. I want more moments of their friendship.
– If he doesn’t run you over with his skateboard and take you screaming in a museum, is he really the one?
– I so appreciate that Alex’s anxiety is openly talked about. This show really does tackle all kinds of representation and I love it for that.
– I really need “Home is Where My Horse Is” in the next season.
– I know the moment is sad, but Luke introduced Julie to rock! That’s so poetic. Presenting reason number infinity why Julie and Luke are soulmates.
– Okay, I just need to hear all the OG Sunset Curve songs (Long Weekend, Crooked Teeth, My Name is Luke).
– Carrie really gets on my nerves, but she and Nick do make a cute couple.
– The entire haunting scene at Trevor’s house is exactly why it’s “Julie and the Himbos”.
– Okay, I love Willie. I do. And I get that Caleb owns his soul, but why’d he bring the boys to the HGC in the first place? Why would he willingly take them there? Did Caleb ask him to? Does Willie have to meet some kind of ghost member quota? Bit confused there…maybe it was just bad judgment on his part, but…really?
Willie is just whipped and didn't want to let Alex down thats my explanation sksk
