What color are Grim’s eyes as a bear?
The same deep brown as they are when he’s human. Though if properly pissed they can have a blue fire in them. (very rare)
Pretty close to what I’d say his eye color is?
Trying my hand at a little hand animation :)

here since none of you know what a bear is
Srsly thats just a regular hunk. Bear is an important term cos there really wasn’t any word for “handsome heavyset man” before the LGBT community came along and opened our eyes to the truth. Calling skinny buff dudes bears is like all those douchebros who are like “i want a thicc gorl” *points to stick thin woman who just has big booby*
THANK you. And originally it DID just mean fat hairy men exclusively, it was only later that ‘musclebears’ became a thing. But Bear was a reaction to the gay male culture’s obsession with what we now call a twink (which is, to whit: a thin, hairless, youthful man between 18-25), as well as a reaction to the idea that gay men had to be femme in order to be gay, as well as offering body positivity to gay men who were fat, which is an important distinction–Bear Pride is a gay male fat positivity movement/identity, that’s real important and we gotta not forget that, because that support and representation and pride is a protest against the part of gay culture that toxically commodifies male bodies and demands thinness and hairlessness. /soapbox
anyway i am here for my bear brothers.
now that we know the difference, bears please feel free to send me marriage proposals

There is a man, wrinkes around his eyes, and a grey mane telling of his old age. He is large, standing at 7'5 feet. One might think his huge frame, and scarred face, may be imposing. But it's hard to think so when the entire man radiates a happy grin. "Ey!" He holds a hand out to the smaller person. "Mah kid said ah should meetcha." -ursamajorgodliness
Runis stood there slightly intimidated by the size of the person before them, their fingers curled into the fur of the large undead wolf by their side, seeking comfort and strength.
They wore lavender tinted sunglasses and their long red hair was tied back into a braid, they dressed head to toe in black, layering a long sleeved shirt beneath a printed tee. They swallowed nervously, only standing at 5’5” and ¾.
“Y-you mean Sis-Uh, I mean Jess?” They asked, a slight stammer in their voice. A skeletal crow was perched on their shoulder, it’s feathers made of shadows. The wolf at their side had half its face missing, the skull beneath bared, chunks from its hind and its side were exposing more bone, it’s front left paw also entirely bone. But both undead beasts had a lavender glow in its eyes.
They meekly extended their hand, fingerless gloves covering most of their pale hand, they clasped the man’s hand and shook it before letting go, “I’m Runis.” They mumbled a little shyly, “Runis Farren, um, Jess’ half sibling.” They said, clearly timid in the face of new introductions.

Runis blinked then smiled slightly, for a moment they were silent listening to the breeze in the trees, feeling the sun on their pale skin and appreciating the peaceful moment, “I like all animals and beasts, so yeah I like bears. And well… Jess saved me… and forever I’ll be grateful to her.” They mumbled gently petting the wolf’s head who closed its eye contently, the purple light in the other dimming in result.
They smiled and nodded, “Yeah, if it wasn’t that obvious.” They sad gently tickling the bird under its beak, they took another cookie and began to chew on it, eating small bites at a time to savour the flavour. “They aren’t pets, they’re friends, I can talk to them because I brought them back.” They admitted. At the mention of meeting other people they looked away shyly, “Um… okay… I-I’m not really good with… m-meeting new people.” They bit their cracked lips a little before exhaling softly.
They smiled a little shyly, “Um, I can sort of tell when I meet people… If they’re human or not, mist doesn’t work with me. But also the fact you had all this in that bag as well… if someone does an impossible thing they’re most likely a god.” They giggled slightly as he flexed and showed off, “That too.” They agreed with another of their shy little smiles.
That was in fact, the answer he’d been hoping for. “Would, yah... Lihke tah meet one?” It was, after all, best to know for sure. Before fluffing out and risk spooking them. “Ahn ah ain’t surprised. Dat kid is one sweet li’l thing. Ahm sorry yah were in a place where yah needed tah be saved though.” He’d, not ask details. Not now. Maybe never. “Which is funny cuz she’s ahlso one teasy li’l brat when she feels lihke, i’s part oh what ah love bout her.” For a moment, he closed his eyes, imagining Jess’s face, a teasing grin on her lips. She was, the best and most wonderful daughter he could have hoped for.
“Aye, ah gathered,” he said, going after a large slice of pie. “Tah be fair ah think oh pets as jes a shorter way tah say, animal friend dat lives wih yah. But ah din’t mean no insult fer yer friend, ah swear it.” He held a hand on his chest, over his heart, as he said it. “Ah ain’t gonna force yah tah, but maybe, if yah want tah sumetime, ah could introduce yah tah Ylva, she’s even tinier than yehself! Tiny thing.” He chuckled, holding his thumb and index finger out to show just how tiny she felt. “Ahn she got pleanty oh animals, so yah cain jes hang wih dem and shove her in ah closet if she bothers yah.” He was, not serious. Presumably.
“Ah, yer lihke dat den? Dat’s a useful skill fer sure, ahm impressed.” Another cake vanished. “As fer de bag, dat ain’t my magic, dat’s jes an enchantment ah bough from a friend, yah could ave one too if yah wanted?” Not able to help himself being silly, he flexed again at their giggle. “Ahn an impressive lookin thing though yeah?” He was, large. With a bit of a squish on his belly. “Terribly handsome, dem cuteies keep fallin in mah lap, fawning.” They did, in fact, not. “But who cain blame e’m ey? Is a good lap!” He patted on said lap. “Feel free tah try it.” He wiggled his eyebrows again, fully aware they’d be very unlikely to take the offer.

ursa-major-godliness:
He had been trying to show off, at least a little bit. And it was no secret, whom the huge grin on his face and the enthusiastic way he moved back to Crystallin, kneeling down to be able to talk face to face.
“You really liked it?” He beamed at her, radiant like a star. “If you really like them so much…I suppose….” He drew the word out, eyes staring into the distance, and at the flowers. “I could try to, in one of our exchanges, see if we could get you some seeds to grow some for yourself?” Was that a smirk? “Unless you think that would be silly. But I just figure that then you could learn how to manipulate them yourself?” Sure, she may not have his specific wind spells, but it was amazing how much one could accomplish with just one flower, and blowing at different angles and strengths. Grim, though delighted by the show, was delighted, leaning in to whisper to his friend. “Showoff.” Which Terhan just waved off, he was, and he didn’t care.
Instead he looked to Khari’ahl. “I’m delighted that you delightful ladies appreciated my little demonstration,” he exclaimed, still sitting by Crystallin, “Would either of you like another song, or should we move on?”
“Well o’ course I did!” Crystallin exclaimed, leaning closer to whisper, “I can’t say things that aren’t true. No faeries can.” Clearly she felt that he should already know that, but if he didn’t, he could be trusted with the secret after all.
She gasped and bounced on her toes a little in excitement. “Really!?” she burst. “You would do that?? But - will it be alright? Will it grow in a faery garden?” Crystallin would so hate to see a flower die because it wasn’t suited to its new home, especially when she was already learning how to feel plant feelings.
Khari’ahl put a hand on her head gently. “I’m sure he wouldn’t suggest it if he didn’t think it would be perfectly safe with you,” she reminded. “But nevertheless, we’ll make sure beforehand.”
“Oh, that’s very smart,” Crystallin agreed, missing Grim’s exchange with their host until she was addressed again. “Weeell.. I’d like another song, but I think there’s still so much t’ see! We had better keep going,” she nodded decisively.
Leaning in to hear her properly, he nodded solemnly. “Ah yes,” he whispered back. “I had nearly forgotten, then I am grateful for your praise little flower.” He was beaming even stronger, there was no other way to say it. He was, unsurprisingly to anyone that knew him, or Crystallin, becoming very fond of this tiny one.
Trying to hide his smile, Farhan did his best to look calm, though being very much a child inside, he almost wanted to bounce at her excitement. “They originally come from another faery realm, I can see no reason they’d not grow in yours?” He said, reaching down to gently brush the leaves of one of them. “I will be sure to send instructions on how to care for them, and I will trust you to do your best in caring for them.” He already knew, from her way of speaking and acting, that she would.
“Alright then,” Terhan said, standing up properly again, holding a hand out for Crystallin, “let us get going. Least these lovely flowers take root among the others?” And with that, he led them on, showing off more of the garden while on the way to, something.

Runis felt their cheeks flush upon hearing what Jess said about them, they couldn’t help but smile slightly, “If it wasn’t for her I’d probably be dead.” They mumbled, meaning it in a way that made their smile and eyes take a sad note. Poe cooed and rubbed against their cheek whilst Bane soon whines and rubbed against their leg. They smiled a little more naturally then finally seated themselves opposite the beat of a man.
Bane plopped his head on their lap and Poe settled down on their shoulder, “it does make sense yeah.” They mumbled with another of their shy smiles, they held no confidence towards people, Jess was one of the few who could get them rolling. “Yeah… I love them, and well I do have more, but these two are the ones I have with me at the moment. Poe is always about, he’s bascially my watcher, or scout I suppose.” They explained. “I have Ash, she’s a vixen. Sooty a black cat, Samara is a black python and then there’s Bane here who helps when I get visions, sort of like a guide dog. But he’s a wolf.” They said with a slight laugh, “I have others too.” They were happy to ramble about their animal companions.
Now Runis might be still relatively new to the world of which their blood hailed from, but they knew you couldn’t fit so much in such a small bag. They looked up at him nervously, “Um… S-sorry if I’m bein’ rude but… A-are you a god?” They asked just having a feeling they struck a nail on the head.
That was, not something that he’d expected to hear, and Grim, tilting his head slightly to look at them again, couldn’t help but wonder about this little rabbit of a person. “Well den ah ave two reasons fer bein glad de squirrel knows yah.” He said with a small nod. “De other bein, obviously, dat ah get tha meetcha.” He was very sincere and his brown eyes were sparkling as he looked at the trio.
There did sneak a mischievous little glimmer into said eye though, as they admitted their liking to animals; his lip curling into a smirk. “How bout bears?” He asked, trying his best to make it seem an innocent question, failing badly as the smirk just. Wouldn’t. Go. Away! “Ahn if yah ever feel lihke it, ah do love animals mehself. Ahd love tah meet yer other friends.” Watcher, that made sense, and sounded quite useful. “Ah suppose Poe would be named fer a certain poet aye?” He asked, casually inhaling a few more cookies. He barely seemed to need to chew. “Dey ahl sound lihke lovely friends,” he concluded. “Ah ain’t got no pets or nuthin mahself, but ah got plenty friends wih ones, ah cain think oh two especially yah may like tah meet, yah seem lihke yah may get along, ahn yah share ah love oh animals.” Both Fool and Ylva would probably love all of this little ones animal friends, he thought. And they may be a little less terrifying than he himself seemed to be.
Taking a few gulps of the lemonade, Grim nodded happily. “Aye, dat ah am, how could yah tell? Is it, mah God like charm ahn good looks?” Wiggling his eyebrow at Runis, Grim flexed, showing off his, rather large, arms. “Dat was it, yeah?” Putting his arms down again, he grinned wide, looking almost... Hopeful. For something.

They nodded slightly, brief mentioning a of a bear like man called Grim coming faintly to mind. Then again Runis had never been good with people, so he shouldn’t take it personally. Put them in front of a Hydra they’d squeal in delight and try to hug it—
“Sh-she has? Um… n-nothing bad I hope.” They mumbled shyly, they knew Jess loved to brag about their ability to beat even Athena’s children in chess, their skill in stealth was unmatched even by the children thieves of Hermes. And of all of Hades’ children their ability with necromancy over beasts was truly unparalleled.
But then came the lacklustre to their existence, their cursed eyes. The sunglasses they wore were specially made for them by their blood father, Hades gave them to Runis so they could look upon people without driving them insane or to death from fear. Their eyes were an odd phenomenon, any who looked into them, mortal or otherwise found themselves become overwhelmed by a heart stopping fear and were often driven insane into striking out upon them… Not a good curse to bare.
They jumped a little as he plopped himself on the ground before blinking, they judged not his clothes for each had their own tastes and styles. They smiled a little at the mention of their friends, “Bane and Poe.” They said with a small smile, the wolf named after Wolfsbane and the bird after Edgar Alan Poe. At the mention of cookies they nodded, they had a strong sweet tooth and was often told they’re mad for it.
Their eyes widened slightly behind the shades and they seemed to relax a little as he offered the plate they gingerly reached out and took a cookie. They broke off half and gave it to Bane who happily scoffed it and they broke up some of their half into their hand for Poe to peck away at whilst they munched on what was left, “Theyre really good.” They mumbled shyly.
Waving his hand dismissively Grim took one of the cookies for himself, plopping the whole thing into his mouth at once, and seemingly almost inhaling it. “She said yah were a nice kid ahn taht she was gunna adopt yah.” Which, obviously, meant he had to come take a look at them. “So if she’s yer sis ahn ahm her dad, ah figgure dat makes us close enough oh relatives dat ahm obligated tah drop in ahn spoil yah!” Placing the plate on his knee, he stretched his arms wide to the side, grinning widely at them. “Perfect sense, yeah?”
Making a small nod to each of the beings, Grim smiled once again. “Nice tah meetcha little ones.” He wondered, for a moment... “Yah a big fan oh animals then? Havin two oh yer own ahn ahl.” Having the one plate out already, he just, pulled more out. Cakes, cookies, and a full beaker of lemonade, with glasses. “Help yahself kiddo.” He said, pouring himself a glass.

Taking the small person in, Grim was not happy that they seemed so, unhappy. Scared? “Aye,” he said, leaning down a bit to gently take their hand. “Ahm Grim, her papa.” He said as means of proper introduction. “It’s nice tah meetcha, she’s told me bout yah.” Adjusting his coat, a long grey thing with fur trimmings, Grim simply, plopped down on the ground, figuring that maybe if he wasn’t looming over them like a man-mountain, they’d feel more at ease? “Yer friends look real interestin,” he said conversely, pulling a bag out from under his coat. It, like the rest of his clothes, looked like they’d have been made somewhere in the 1500′s. “Do yah lihke cookies?” Looking to Runis, he pulled a plate of, somehow, still steaming warm cookies from said bag, holding them out to them.
