âOkay! Just a little bit further. You should feel a great big pressure against his lung and if you just push harder there should be a sharp pop if you can manage to puncture one of the airways in his lung. Use all your muscle Dipper!â Gaz encouraged Dipper, as she began conjuring water from the moisture in the air.
Gaz continued to accrue water, reaping it out of the surrounding grass and trees, and from the air until there was barely any humidity and it felt as dry as a crisp winter morning. The plant life around her withered as she did this, until she gathered what she hoped would be enough water to fill Nebulaâs lungs.
âOkay! Iâm ready when you are!â Gaz said, marching over to Nebulaâs snout and beginning to try and use just one hand and all the strength she had to open his jaws. She ended up planting a foot firmly against his lower jaw, and very slowly pried his jaws open until there was enough space to stick her other foot in his mouth, and HEFT UPWARDS with all her might and sheer force of will.
âIâm trying!â Dipper forced himself against the pipe, pressing his feet against the ground as he put all his weight on it - and then his eyes widened as the pipe suddenly slid in and he nearly stumbled over.
He tightened his grip on the pipe and looked up at Gaz. âReady?!â
Gaz nodded her head solemnly at Dipper, and she swallowed her mouthful of metal, and gave another heave, opening Nebulaâs jaws until she stood between them, straining her muscles from the effort of holding his mouth open.
âOkay! Watch the pipe and the incision to make sure the water pressure isnât too high, cause it needs to be able to drain fast.â Gaz called over to Dipper.
Gaz flicked her free wrist forward sending the water into Nebulaâs maw and down his throat and into his lungs until it was all inside. She quickly hopped out of his mouth and it slammed shut behind her with a loud dense snapping sound.
Gaz closed her eyes so she could focus on feeling where the water was in Nebulaâs lungs and began to move her hands in a wavy motion as she moved the water around inside his lungs. You could hear a furious yet satisfying sizzling sound as the cool water put out the smolder in the dragonâs lungs, not unlike putting a hot frying pan in a sink and turning the faucet directly on to it.
Dipper leaned away from the open end of the pipe as water and blood began to spray from it. The outpouring of water almost seemed to slow at one point, but a quick hand-thwack lap to the pipe dislodged a chunk of red and let the water flow freely again.
He gritted his teeth and readjusted his hands as the pipe heated up slightly. âHow are things going over there?!â he half-shouted over the joint hissing of water and steam.
