Wait in your post did you imply only the younger sibling can be an incest victim of the older one? I’m an older sibling who was sexually abused by a younger sibling when we were little and it was really traumatizing. It’s not only social power dynamics, it’s also the safety of family being ruined forever and the physical strength aspect and guilt tripping aspect..

hi anon! i used this blog a while ago id go as far as to say i haven't been on it in at least a year and a half, pretty sure i made it when i was 15! if i did imply that, i have never agreed with it and is probably my wording. power dynamic is indeed a part of it but an older sibling can indeed be sexually abused by a younger sibling! sorry if i made u feel invalid in any way or for however i worded something weirdly in the past! :D <3 stay safe!

for the incest abuse anon, it also comes from the fact that family relationships are very unique psychologically. finding a family member sexually or romantically attracted is a big sign of some problems psychologically.

how is incest inherently abusive? I don't doubt it, but I just don't understand how it is. I know that there can be two consenting adults in a relationship and I don't see how that's abuse?

one of the adults always has a higher sort of power in a relationship like that. if its two siblings, the older sibling has power over the younger sibling, considering they have always been more powerful then the younger sibling. making there an inbalance in power, one of the members of the relationship is much easier to control due to that, leading to it being inherently abusive! does that make sense? i suck at explaining shit so followers if u have a better way of putting it help me out
