Fact: The mummy of Pharaoh Ramses II has a modern Egyptian passport. In 1974, Egyptologists noticed that the mummy was rapidly deteriorating and was needed to be taken to Paris for examination. To avoid registration of the export as cultural property, the mummy needed a passport. Rameses II was issued an Egyptian passport that listed his occupation as “King (deceased)”
