Hey I'm Arab, and I would really like to travel through North Africa, Middle East and, Central Africa And Asia and explore and so reports about countries. I would like to travel like Ibn Battuta, on a camel, like old times. How should I do?
Salam ya fellow Arab :) I like the way you think! Ibn Battuta is revered by many; Arab and non-Arab for his penchant for travel and probably the only man of his time to have visited the equivalent of 44 modern countries. However, I think the idea of travelling only by camel from the Maghreb to Central Asia sounds very difficult just thinking about it. I think Ibn Battuta would have probably considered horses, more so than camels. Horses are agile and are faster. I think you should take it all in, and don’t stop yourself from considering modern forms of transportation. Staying away for nearly three decades like Sayyid Ibn Battuta is tough, ya fellow Arab. Think about your loved ones back home :(

انتِ من المغرب ؟
No, from Egypt. However, my heart is not only in the Mashriq, but in the Maghreb also.
