Your Bug Reports Are Terrible. AI Can Fix That.
Let's be honest about the average bug report: "it's broken." No page. No browser. No steps. Just three words and a shrug, handed to whoever's unlucky enough to be on call.
It's not that people are lazy. It's that a website is a visual, clickable thing, and we keep asking people to describe it in words. That translation always loses the important parts - which is why the developer's first move isn't fixing the bug, it's interrogating the human who reported it.
Here's the fix that's actually working now: stop asking people to write good reports. Let them point at what's broken, and let AI write the report.
The reporter clicks the thing and says what happened in plain words. The session already knows the URL, the browser, the screen size, and whatever the console was yelling about. AI reads all of that and produces the report a senior engineer would've written - reproduction steps, environment, expected vs. actual, and a first guess at the cause.
Same effort for the reporter. Completely different result for you:
You reproduce the bug on the first try instead of the third.
"Which button?" stops being a question - the comment is pinned to the element.
Small papercut bugs finally get reported, because filing one costs nothing.
Ten vague complaints that share one root cause finally look like one problem.
Is the AI always right? No. Its cause guesses are a lead, not a verdict, and a human still checks before trusting anything. But the boring part - writing the report and attaching the context - is handled. That's the whole win.
The terrible bug report isn't a law of nature. It's just what happens when you make humans do a machine's job.
