when you hate your legs remember that they carried you through the hardest parts of your life. they get you out of bed every day and take you to what you love.
when you hate your stomach remember that it helped you gain strength. it holds the memories of deep laughter and great meals. it is full of warmth and joy.
when you hate your arms remember that they are strong, which makes you strong. but they are also soft and can be used to cuddle and hold the ones you love.

Women be treating themselves to special groceries and cheeses when they can financially

the water warriors fighting for access to clean water for all
the teenagers imprisoned for fighting back against oppressive regimes
those fighting for access to education for all
for the future of the planet
for gender equality
for safety and protection from gun violence
for governmental representation and engagement for youths
for the rights of immigrants
for syria and the rights of refugees
for literacy and the representation of WOC in books
for trans and queer rights
for protection of girls against forced marriage and child slavery
i hope that one day we live in a world where children are allowed to just be children, where they dont have to fight tooth and nail for their rights and their futures, but i could not be prouder of this generation

Hear me out…. How about we just date, fall in love, communicate effectively, respect each other, support each other, and then boom. We get married
Is that person actually smart? or do they just make you feel like you were ignorant and now you’re intimidated to ask about your previous assertions? Is that person revealing a whole new realm of discourse you weren’t privy to, or are they reaching for out-of-pocket reasons to critique things? Are you agreeing with them because you know they’re right, or are you agreeing with them because they are confident about their assertions? Does this person have good taste and enjoy mocking things they deem worthless, or are they a cynical ass that knows no joy? Do they actually believe this or are they being contrarian for attention?
The answer varies. Ask these questions to yourself frequently.
man the crazy thing about babies is that like, some people would think that reading a baby a book about farm animals is teaching them about farm animals, but really it’s teaching them about the concept of a book and how there’s new information on each page of a single object, but really, beyond that, it’s teaching them how language works, and beyond that it’s really actually teaching them about human interaction, and really really it’s them learning about existing in a three-dimensional space and how they can navigate that space, but actually, above all it is teaching them that mama loves them.

on the days I have little to no motivation I remind myself that who I am tomorrow depends on what I do today and that if I want to I can make myself a weapon. I can do anything I want because today holds unlimited potential, I’ve just got to work for it. I can be unbreakable, undefeatable, unlimited and to be these things I have to do. Because I can and I will. Your brain holds unlimited capacity to hold information so why not be able to do all the things you want? I have the capability to be multilingual, so what’s stopping me? I have the capability to run marathons, so what’s stopping me? I have the capability to ace my exams, so what’s stopping me? What’s stopping me? That question is my motivator.
Reasons to be excited for school
Coffee in the morning as you blink sleep out of your eyes
Cool air and changing leaves, rain hitting the windows as you take notes
The sweaters and dress pants you can finally wear
Completing homework assignments and feeling the sense of accomplishment
Staying in the library to read a book about something that interests you
Looking over your notes before a test you know you’re ready for
Learning about things you never knew about and wanting to learn more
Opening your umbrella as you go out into the rain to take a walk between classes
Long, thick coats from vintage stores
Carrying stacks of books you can’t wait to read
Cups of tea and lighted candles
respect yourself enough to say, “i deserve better”.
i’m scared to have kids. like what if i accidentally kill one
Or what if they grow up and hate your fandoms… then it might not be an accident :(
