Biphobia is frustrating because while I do agree that we should elevate the lived experiences of people who actually live as homosexuals over people who live as heterosexual with extra steps, it seems nigh impossible for people to hold this thought without the caveat of “They’re not living as a homosexual because they are lying for woke points”. It just comes across as extremely online and a bad faith argument

Look I know yall don’t care but if you see a 20-35 year old nurse wearing those dumb ass plastic clogs that the old heads where, know that she does not do shit or know shit. In fact, she can barely walk to your room in those effing shoes. She doesn’t have bunions or cankles yet, so the shoes literally don’t fit her feet and she is walking out of them constantly. It’s stolen valor, why is no one talking about this??
Why are food service and retail workers so mean now?? Genuinely how/why are they getting away with it because when I worked in food service, being intentionally rude or ignoring a customer would get you fired or at least talked to, unless the customer was clearly abusive and unreasonable. Are customers just too scared to complain about the behavior, so it never gets to management? Are customers worse than they were 5 years ago to the point that management supports the behavior?
Like my behavior when I order food or go to shops has not changed. I worked in food service for a while, so I try to be especially gracious towards them and always patient about food taking a long time or small mistakes. But I’ve still had incidents where employees refuse to speak to me at the drive thru, practically throw my food down, slam the window shut or walk away while I’m talking to them, or sometimes talk over and interrupt me excessively. Sometimes I can tell that they’re probably upset about something else and just having trouble regulating themselves, but sometimes it really comes out of nowhere. Genuinely what’s going on?
