The Usurp Zine Fair will be taking place in our humble gallery space in North West London. 

Venue: Usurp Art Gallery & Studios 140 Vaughan Road West Harrow, London HA1 4EB

Google map here - The nearest tube station is West Harrow on the Metropolitan line.  (approx 2 min walk from the station.)

- Also accessible from Harrow on the Hill tube station on the Metropolitan line (approx 12 min walk)

- And Harrow & Wealdstone tube station on the Bakerloo line and over ground (approx 12 min walk.)

Your zines at Usurp Zine Fair

Hi everyone! For those interested in having their zines sold at Usurp Zine fair this Saturday (and the gallery in the future) it is really easy!  

Please send a minimum of 5 copies, all marked with price if possible!

---- Usurp Zine 140 Vaughan Road West Harrow, HA1 4EB ---- To ensure this is all legit we have a sales agreement form. This entitles you to 70% of your chosen cover price. Any unsold zines from the show can be stocked in our permanent sales collection and returned to you if not sold after a set time period.

USURP Zine fair Saturday 28th April 2012.  

- We are currently putting together details of how many tables will be available on the day and will keep you updated.

- Tables are free (but limited) and we are looking for applicants to take up these seats!  To apply, please be in touch with your details and web link so we can allocate tables.

- We also have a number of slots for workshop demos.  We are particularly interested in talks on- tips for self publishing and working with printers and screen-print demos.  But if you have any ideas for workshops or talks, please be in touch with a summary.

- We currently have tables assigned to our friends Walrus Zines and Other Asias.  We will be updating the list of contributors with tables over the next month before out progamme is out!

Last week we attended the Tooting Zine Fair organized by Walrus Zines, Other Asias and the Construction Gallery.  We had an amazing day, met so many exciting people and spread the word about the USURP ZINE FAIR.

Contributors

We have been delighted by the amazing standard of those emailing interested in distributing through USURP.  We will get back to everyone via email.  But for now, we would like to say we are exited and grateful and please keep them coming!

our current goals

+ To sell Zines from existing zine makers on a sale or return basis.

+ A set percentage of each sale shall be paid back to the artist / creator  (details to come.)

+ To acquire a strong selection of zines spanning the all creative practices.

+ To begin sale on Friday 24th February 2012.

Currently seeking

By definition of the term zine/fanzine, we intend to sell any printed material meeting the following criteria:

Self published / low cost publications, printed in limited editions or small runs.  Content of specialist or artistic interest.  Zines may include one, or a combination of the following: illustration, visual narrative, photography collections, essays, articles, interviews, open diaries and accounts - bound in a simple book or pamphlet form.

Our first meeting was almost one week ago on Tues 7th February. We outlined our mission to fill our zine rack by Friday 24th February.  

+ We need you!  We are seeking zines to promote and sell from our London gallery.
