It’s funny how some of the so-called “fans” of the USWNT have such a hard time grasping the idea that this is a competitive team. The roster spots are thing you earn over time, not through the hundreds of 13 year old girls screaming your name. They are EARNED through experience and proving yourself to the head coach. There is a reason certain players are not playing or starting.

Take Ashlyn for example. Both Alyssa and Ash need experience games, I know. I completely respect her and she is a great goalkeeper but Jill doesn’t seem to think she is good enough to take Hope’s place. Ok. Fine. But to all the “fans” who wish failure on Hope this game, shame on you. Shame on you for not understanding that this is a team. You support all the players, or you support none of the players. You can’t call yourself a fan of this team if one minute you’re cheering them on and the next you’re hoping that Hope has a terrible game just so she can’t reach a HUGE milestone.

It baffles me that these people actually call themselves “huge supporters” because a fan is someone who sticks with them through everything. Every roster decision. Every loss and every win. A fan is somebody who supports every single player on that team. A fan doesn’t wish failure on one player just to have success for another. Get your head out of your ass and have some respect for all the players, no matter a veteran or rookie.

I live in Colorado. Moved here a few months ago. If you never been to altitude then you have no idea how it can get you sick/ill within hours to days if you're not adjusted. And fucking Japan is a beast. Not going to lie.
