This is what poot originally had planned for Revenge. From top to bottom
Act 1
Papyrus will end up in a purgatory like world where everything he sees are a portion of his good memories. A world where monsters who perishes can rest in peace. But a disturbance occurs when Papyrus stumbles upon a "bad memory" which are memories like failed puzzles, smiling bones, distorted pasta and dogs.
Papyrus wouldn't have known of these bad memories if it weren't for another specimen there. And that specimen is Gaster. He will tell Papyrus that he's able to give him another chance to confront the human, if he takes him to his "core". In this world, every monster got their own core that takes the form of something they've seen before, for instance another monster's core can look like a snowman, or even another monster. But in this case, Papyrus' core looks like a flower. So he'd traverse this world where he have to fight against his own bad memories, and he choose to "release" them (Which acts like sparing) or "consume" them (Which can bring a whole different route).
But if he manages to get past the many obstacles in his way then he'll eventually reach his core. A lonely little flower sitting around a little shrine. But if Papyrus even wants to get a hold of it, then he needs to get past the guardian of the flower, which is the flower itself.
But if he manages to beat the guardian and finally get a hold of the flower then he will be granted a second chance, just like Gaster said. And as a plus, Gaster will assist him by giving him a portion of his power.
Which brings us to Act 2.
Act 2
And since this second chance has taken effect then the paradox will take effect, since things around you have changed somehow. The player doesn't know what, but something have changed.
So you eventually confront the funny skeleton man and he'll tell the human that he's here to set things right now that he's been granted a chance, to teach things about not to do the way they did. And just like he originally says, "Papyrus will be your teacher".
Battle starts
Papyrus will stare down at you with a big ol goofy smile on his face, and he'd do his very best, now that he's been granted a boost from an unknown entity.
He'd throw bones at you, throw blue ones, and hell even bring in orange ones in a puzzling pattern. He does not use blasters though since that's not Papyrus' cup of tea, instead he uses something called a "Sound Wave Turret". It takes the shape of a skull, but what it does that it sends out a wave of sound, and if the player gets hit by it then it'll push em back. Which would be often used to push the players into a pile of bones. He'd even use a different type of ability that'd change the color of the players soul to grey. Papyrus wanted to say "NOW YOU'RE ORANGE!" but since it didn't turn orange then he'll think that the ability forgot to color that in.
Introducing, the glitched soul. A soul that'd shift gravity whenever you press Z.
The player will eventually overwhelm Papyrus and manage to land a very fatal blow directly into his chest. Papyrus' chance was wasted in the end. He's happy to know that he atleast tried. The player will proceed to see Papyrus body slowly fade away as he falls onto his knees. But then it will stop in an instant. The player would see Papyrus stand up again, he'd stare directly into the player and eventually say. "What an unfortunate fate he had. I honestly thought that he'd be the one to save this world from the likes of you. He may be done for now, but for me, things are just getting starteeeeeeeeeeeeeee" as it turns out, Papyrus has passed away, but his body hasn't. Gaster has taken over it now, and the first he he did was transforming the entire body into a singular smiling skull. That skull would grow in size and change everything around you.
Which brings us to Act 3.
Act 3
An all out assault from the man who speaks in hands.
Gaster would inherit Papyrus' ability and distort them to make it fitting for his own techniques. He'd use his bones, his skull, and even his ability to turn things into blue bones.
Hell, he'd even use the "Sound Wave Turret" I mentioned earlier, but along with 3 more weapons of his. I don't remember what they were supposed to do, but I know for sure that they would resemble skulls.
But where's the Gaster Blaster? Here's the thing, he doesn't have it. I'd imagine that the name Gaster Blaster was just something Sans came up with for the lols. Just so he can say that he's the "Gaster Blaster Caster Master". Just something funny named after Gaster.
Either way, Gaster would do everything in his ability to dispose of the human, but he'd eventually fail and get hit in the process. It'd take up to 10 whole hits for him to fall. But he wouldn't accept defeat so quickly, so as a last ditch effort Gaster used everything he got left inside him, which made his form expand even further and take the shape of a disturbing skull. Where he'd eventually turn things more into a bullet hell. But even then he'd fail in the end receive one final blow.
Everything would turn to black. All the glitchy effects and all the bones would disappear from the screen and all you'll see is an empty void. Until seconds later, you'll get to see a tired entity who is grasping for air infront of you. The player will get one option.
[F I G H T]
But the moment the player hovers the fight button, then entity will shout "STOP".
The entity would still pant heavily while staring at the player. He then proceeds to say.
"T-this... doesn't have to be the end... I can see it in your eyes that you crave... more... much, much... more..."
The fight option will temporarily disappear whenever he talks, but when there's a pause then it'll come back again. And if you hover it then he'll say something more.
"I can give you... a whole different ending!... An ending to fill your needs..."
"I'd like to make a deal with you... If you let me go... then I will give you this new ending..."
And if you don't take it, then he will perish.
So here's a new option.
[F I G H T] or [A C C E P T]
"Act 4"
If you decline it, then player will dispose of the poor entity. But not only does the entity perish, but the entire game does. A paradox occurs since the game has spotted an unwanted figure inside its code which eventually corrupts everything. Not only did he die, but so did the game. And if you start it again, then it's a full reset.
But if you accept it, then he will grant you a new ending. He will use what's left inside his decaying corpse and send you to a different timeline.
A timeline where Papyrus doesn't get the boost from Gaster, but moreso Gaster taking over his body at the very start. An all out battle between Gaster and the player.
A battle against a final foe.
The human will be able to break through the amour, and the first thing they'll see is the face of a broken Papyrus. A blank expressed face will be upon him and he will only stare into the ground. He'd ask "Why". Why did they shatter what they all once had when they could live happily on the surface together.
The bad memories Papyrus got was him seeing the true ending, only to see it all crumbled into pieces by the human. He kept thinking that he could've solved it, but he kept seeing himself trying over and over and over again. And nothing have changed. That's why Papyrus feels this way, because nothing matters what you do at this point. He doesn't have a choice. His actions doesn't matter
The player expects Papyrus to do a final attack after saying that. But the only thing that comes is a bunch of bones saying "Just do it".
Which gives the player the option to dispose of Papyrus. Gaster will try to scream into his head to stop, which makes Papyrus fall into the ground, because that's all he've been hearing. Unwanted voices inside his head.
The player chooses to deliver one final blow and it was very effective.
Papyrus gets torn into bits and the last thing we hear is a glitched scream saying "NO".
Papyrus' body was so unstable that it not only killed him, but Gaster aswell.
An all out battle between the human and a Gaster controlled Papyrus will occur. Gaster will use the full extend behind Papyrus' abilities and use it to his advantage. He didn't get to do that on Act 2 before, so he's taking no risks this time.
All of Gaster's 4 weapons was meant to be used in it and madness would ensue. But here's on fatal flaw that Gaster didn't look into. Since he's getting so carried away, then he forgot how fragile Papyrus' body really is here. So throughout the battle, it's a game of stalling. The player won't be able to land a hit on him, but we'll see him crack up, literally. The stronger attacks he sends, the more he starts to crack.
And before he can even land his final attack which is Papyrus' long pile of bones attack, then everything will suddenly just stop. The body of Papyrus would violently shake as light comes out of his skull. So much overwhelming energy made his entire body break and shatter in the end.
In here, we'll get to see Gaster grasping for air again, but this time he looks nervous. He proceeds to say.
"No... No... NO...! Things weren't meant to end so early! Please... just give me more time... and I will give you a better ending! I promise... I PROMIIIIIIIII"
But it seems like it wasn't enough for the player, since the proceeded to cut him just like how they did with Flowey
