Oxytocin

They said it's all oxytocin, that's what makes it irresistible. Oh my god, I've been so foolish, exchanging my vulnerability with someone else's. Isn't it better experienced as a delusion? Because nothing can be ever so fragile. If nothing can render me this fragile. Is this just a moment I want to be in? Because everything is so beautiful from a distance. And you're so dreamy when you're not around. Is it done yet? Because we only need this moment to be true. Then will the next moment matter? Will time matter? I can't reach you. I don't need to know anything.

Vigil for #KaliefBrowder, a young man who took his own life after years of reliving the trauma of spending three years in an adult prison beginning at the age of 16, for the crime of stealing a backpack in which he never was convicted. His wrongful imprisonment is another example of the flawed justice system that has stolen the lives of so many innocent people.

Strung out on memories, rest beneath the leaves.

I guess, all I ever want are the moments where time seems to stop ticking. Whether it’s through art or people. Just a moment of understanding, no matter how much is there. a smile, a quiver. It means more than anything to me.

But the world doesn’t favor such indulgence. It spins forward and leaves me frozen in oblivion.

where would i be then? struggling to get a job. struggling to move. struggling with situations. struggling with people. or getting lost at the crossroads of post-graduation realities.

whether she's right about it. I hope I'm good enough when I meet "him". Good enough for the 'me at the present' to look up to.
