finally back from tokyo! i didn’t take too many pictures because i was there to enjoy my trip (although i did take a lot of snaps which are obviously gone by now...) i got a chance to go to comiket 89 this year and it was so wild!! the first picture is @sakura-moge and me waiting for the train to go back home after lugging around this year’s finds. there wasn’t a section for osomatsu-san so it was so hard to find anything without them being sold out (it’s SUPER popular here...like CRAZY popular) but i did get all of psyche delico (sonico) and ineminori (seven days) stuff so i’m satisfied. i think i also met tsukumo gou (BOX) while i bought his newest doujinshi collection but i was too nervous to say anything. (´;ω;`) he seemed very humble and quiet compared to the shit he draws LOL. the lineups for some artists were insane but i like how it was still pretty organized for such a huge event. finding lines were relatively easy because the last person in line holds up a [artist name/最後尾] sign so if you want to line up, you can just say something like 「すみません、持ちます」and take the sign so now you’re the last person in line. after that, someone will line up behind you and take the sign, etc. when it’s your turn to go to the actual table to purchase things, a staff or volunteer? will come over and tell you to raise your hand and follow him while he screams “a line is passing through” lmao. that’s only for the popular artists, the rest of them don’t usually have any lineups so you can buy right away. also, while i was lining up for seven days, some people spoke to me because someone dropped something and i was shitting myself because my spoken japanese is not that good so i was trying to find the person who dropped their stuff with crappy japanese orz. anyway, the next time i go, i’ll probably bring a suitcase (like most people) and be better prepared. the second picture is basically all the fandom things i bought. i only managed to get 3 otome games because they were still expensive secondhand and i ran out of money...all manga were also bought secondhand except for the osomatsu doujinshi because THEY ARE SO RARE. i also found out 2 osomatsu only doujin events so wow the thirst is so real (AND I’M PART OF IT ww). too bad i’m already back so i can’t go. it’s so scary to be in a fandom in japan because it’s so crazy trying to keep up with the products and the fans. ;; i’ll blog more later when i have time.
