‘CLAY’

Kim Ruiz | BA (Hons) Fashion Design

A collection that stands as a reaction to the creative cuts. The garments are woven with words from a diary documenting the make process and the struggles of the current pace of the fashion industry. The ruffles emphasise the beautiful nature of the fabric and the sprinkled crushed ceramic that drag the garments along pay respect to the most primitive creative media CLAY. A collection that will please and intrigue you.

My work focuses on strong colour palettes and usually has a clean, crisp aesthetic. Whether it's portraiture, lifestyle imagery, or just the perfect light.With a keen eye for layout and editorial design, through my creative direction my work often represents and explores themes of power, femininity (and what that means in the 21st century), nature, sustainability, & art.
