Resonance Effect Update

Good Afternoon, everyone!

I've been meaning to make this announcement for a little bit, but I thought that since I feel like starting the project at the moment, now is a good time to announce it.

It's no secret that the lettering in Resonance Effect's early pages is objectively poor. Many people describe it as hard to read, which creates a poor first impression and drives away readers. I've been meaning to fix this for ages but have been dragging my feet. Well, now, I'm going to officially announce my intentions. Starting today I'm going to be updating old pages with the new lettering style. I won't be changing any art, just making my comic more readable. All my drawing time and energy will still be spent on the new pages.

I'm going to start working on the project today. I think my strategy for now will be to replace pages or groups of pages as I finish them, so that I'm not looking for everything in the files for the big overhaul. I predict it will take the place over the course of weeks, if not months.

I'm sure not many people will miss the old Yellow Text pages, but I'll try my best to preserve them anyway.

Anyway, thank you all for your support with Resonance Effect! Being so close to 50 subs after a year is super cool! I hope you all continue to enjoy the comic and have a lovely day!

A dark villain called the Silence Queen aims to destroy the Web of Inspiration, the place where all human ideas live and build on one another. The inspiration Allan creates from his music career fuels his super-powered Dr. Spotlight persona who can harness the Resonance Effect to defeat and purify Hollow Notes – dangerous villains born from lost passion – and save the day.

So, I'm participating in the 30 Days of Characters event over on ComicFury. This has given me the opportunity to finally draw some of the Resonance Effect characters I haven't worked on before! I thought I'd introduce them here too just... because, I don't know.

Starting it off simple with a minor character from Resonance Effect! This is Catherine Sparkem, older sister of protagonist Allan Sparkem. She's a florist and into gardening as well as making and selling arrangements and her dream is to own her own independent flower shop. When they were younger, Catherine was one of the few supportive voices Allan had in his hometown and she's rather protective of him, which Allan both hates and loves.

Keep in mind this ask is only if you're in a position to support artists and have been wanting to, but ComicFury has been my comics home for years now and I'd like to see it continue to thrive, especially in the current environment of exploitation, censorship, and other abuse webcomickers have to deal with on other platforms. (because guess what, you can show violence and/or tiddy AND swear all you want on ComicFury as long as you properly rate your comic for it.)
