I don't think portraying Lestat and his mother's relation bluntly will make him less queer. Sounds kind of biphobia.(But I support nickistat fans and lesmand fans bullying amc.😈) Also I think the show humanized rice vampires a lot and they show their monstrous nature through the depiction of their savage feeding scene. Rice vampires are not sloppy eaters in the books. so maybe the incestuous relationship will be another way of showing vampires are unconstrained by the norms of human society.
