Vaginal Fantasy #41: Driven
This months main pick is Driven by Eve Kenin
In the harsh Northern Waste where human life is worth little, ice trucker Raina Bowen has learned to keep her eyes open and her knife close at hand. She’s spent her life on the run, one step ahead of the megalomaniac who hunts her. All she wants is to stay out of trouble and haul her load of grain to Gladow Station–but trouble finds her in the form of a sexy stranger called Wizard. He has the trucking pass she needs, and she has to drag him out of a brawl with the very people she’s trying to hide from in order to get it. She may have rescued him, but Raina’s not foolish enough to see Wizard as anything close to helpless. He’s hard and honed and full of secrets–secrets that may destroy them both. As they race across the Waste, trying to outrun rival truckers, ice pirates, and the powerful man bent on their destruction, Raina’s forced to admit that trouble’s found her. And this time, there’s nowhere left to run.

Vaginal Fantasy #40: Mirror of Her Dreams
This months main pick is The Mirror of Her Dreams by Stephen R. Donaldson
The daughter of rich but neglectful parents, Terisa Morgan lives alone in a New York City apartment, a young woman who has grown to doubt her own existence. Surrounded by the flat reassurance of mirrors, she leads an unfulfilled life—until the night a strange man named Geraden comes crashing through one of her mirrors, on a quest to find a champion to save his kingdom of Mordant from a pervasive evil that threatens the land. Terisa is no champion. She wields neither magic nor power. And yet, much to her own surprise, when Geraden begs her to come back with him, she agrees. Now, in a culture where women are little more than the playthings of powerful men, in a castle honeycombed with secret passages and clever traps, in a kingdom threatened from without and within by enemies able to appear and vanish out of thin air, Terisa must become more than the pale reflection of a person. For the way back to Earth is closed to her. And the enemies of Mordant will stop at nothing to see her dead.

Vaginal Fantasy #39: Fortune's Pawn
Hello everybody!
I just thought i should let you know that i have finished this months main pick (Fortune's Pawn), so if some one wants to discuss it, i'd love to do that.
Happy International Women's Day!
This months main pick is Fortune’s Pawn by Rachel Bach
Devi Morris isn’t your average mercenary. She has plans. Big ones. And a ton of ambition. It’s a combination that’s going to get her killed one day - but not just yet. That is, until she just gets a job on a tiny trade ship with a nasty reputation for surprises. The Glorious Fool isn’t misnamed: it likes to get into trouble, so much so that one year of security work under its captain is equal to five years everywhere else. With odds like that, Devi knows she’s found the perfect way to get the jump on the next part of her Plan. But the Fool doesn’t give up its secrets without a fight, and one year on this ship might be more than even Devi can handle.
This months alt book is DarkShip Thieves by Sarah A. Hoyt
Story of O
Andrea (voicelesscas)
Drinking: Water (because I'm that exciting)
The book: I liked this book. Yes, the theme of the book was incredibly dark, but i think it was well written, and it woked with the time. I also think this is the kind of book that will never go out of date. I also really liked that there was no mention of sexual orientation, and thet everyone just liked whoever they liked.
The ending was missing, and weird, and one paragraph of whyyy. On another note; my Edition of the book had like four different forewords, and one of them basically spoiled parts of the book (plus the ending) which is not ok, and incredibly annoying.
This is also the kind of book that you have to go back and think about whan you're done, which i noticed when writing about the characters.
Characters: I kind of felt like O became more and more present as the story progressed. She gained more confidence, and I think she kind of grew stronger even though she was "broken down" so to speak.
I did not like René, he prostituted her (sort of), claimed to love her, and then threw her away to a guy whom i suspect he might have been in love with... While René seemed like a nice guy in the beginning, and then turned for the worse, I think Sir Stephen had the opposiite character development.
He seemed horrible at first, and then he, I have no idea why, was more ok towards the end. I do think this might have something to do with how O saw him, and that she stopped worrying about, and began enjoing the pain.
I am conflicted when it comes to Jacqueline. She was a character that i didn't really like while reading the story, but in retrospect i think she is one of the strongest characters in this story. I think that one of the reasons why i feel like this is because she didn't want to go where the story told her to (Roissy), and I often tend to dislike that when reading. But, in this story we get O's POV, and the direction O want's to take her is not nececcsrily the direction she should go, and i don't think that that is someting I realized until i was removed from the story.
Casting: Edit:i'm not going to cast this afterall
Story of O - Description
The Story of O relates the progressive willful debasement of a young and beautiful Parisian fashion photographer, O, who wants nothing more than to be a slave to her lover, René. The test is severe—sexual in method, psychological in substance… The artistic interest here has precisely to do with the use not only of erotic materials but also erotic methods, the deliberate stimulation of the reader as a part of and means to a total, authentic literary experience.

About
We are a tiny part of Felicia Day’s book club; Vaginal Fantasy.
Basically; Felicia Day has a book club where they read (paranormal) romance novels (yes, kinda smutty ones). At the end of every month they have a hangout where they discuss the book. The people who do the talknig are Felicia Day, Veronica Belmont, Kiala Kazebee and Bonnie Burton, and then the rest of us take part in the chat while watching.
I just go into this, and have watched a couple of their old hangouts (which are quite entertaining), and thought it would be fun to join in, and read a book with them. I also think it would be fun to discuss the books with some of you people from tumblr. Which is how this blog happened
The hangout is the last Tuesday of every month, so you should finish the book by then.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send us an ask!
