I just realized that the tears olruggio uses for the memory erasing spell come specifically from Qifrey's missing eye -- he can't see out of it, but he can cry from it. that seems like, poetic or something haha. something really fucked up about the way it looks like dew or rain dripping off the leaves, considering rain trickling down the leaves of a tree was what nearly drowned him in the first place

I really like this costume detail that Olruggio binds up his sleeves to secure them when it's time to bring out the really big guns(/dragons). considering his main work is with fire and often open flames, the choice to sport big billowing sleeves at baseline is either a flex or an 'one must be willing to suffer a bit for fashion' thing haha
