god the “grace go home” scene never fails to bring me to tears. rocky stomping his legs refusing even the idea of grace dying alone in space. grace bringjng out the teacher voice with his “listen. listen.” (meanwhile his voice is already almost about to crack). rocky literally shrinking away in denial of grace’s acceptance of his fate. GRACE SAY GRACE DIE ROCKY FIX.

I watched 'Project Hail Mary' with my (conservative) grandparents and at the end I was talking about how I liked that there was no weird romance subplot. My Grammy immediately argued that "Yes there was", my initial thought was that she meant between Stratt and Grace so my sister and I both started to disagree until she said "Yeah, they were both willing to die for each other" at which point we realized our Grandmother was a Grace/Rocky shipper...

I love how Grace insults the guy by saying he's a "staggering waste of carbon". Not oxygen. Oxygen has been done before, a waste of the air you breathe, oxygen is mean, yes, but carbon. Grace gets right down to what humans are made of when he insults people and I love that tbh

Love the idea of aroacespec Grace and too-busy-being-dictator-to-entertain-the-thought Stratt not noticing even a little bit that they act too familiar. The Vatt sees Stratt steering Grace somewhere with a hand on the small of his back and go "👀😏" meanwhile the two of them are just like "ah yes very efficient for navigating crowds quickly :)". #y’all have no idea how often I’ll take a coworker’s hand at the haunt #& take the lead through a crowd & basically fold my own arm up into the middle of my back #which keeps them no more than THEIR arm length from me #& that habit has invaded my normal life bc like… it’s so efficient!#we are single file now. nice n close too so it’s obvious we are moving together #so randos don’t try to cut between us #but then you gotta remember that they’re basically up my ass #& we gotta walk in step if they’ve got short arms like me #& I realized that after some guest went ‘awww look at those two monsters!’ in a non-zone area #ofc I scared tf outta them bc shut tf up we ain’t cute. we on a mission #but ye this made me think of that
