They were absolutely amazing back then. They still are, but…I have a lot of respect for what they’ve accomplished. They’re not lying when they say they worked hard ; they did. In regards of their beginning, their strength strikes me. Simply because dancing in the street, with authentic happiness, lightness and faith, in front of a certain amount of people who’ll just leave and forget your name, is fucking courageous and noble. Some would just have given up and gone on their way. But they’ve persisted with their talent, and decided to never be victims of anything other than the fate they’ve chosen for them. They tried, and failed, and tried again in front of so many. And they were so young…

I love Larry’s genuine smile and attitude. To me, he was the most deferential of LT, solicitous over people’s reaction. He had the most innocent look, expecting for other’s approval, benevolence and recognition. He’s now able of the most impetuous shit, but still got that softness which shows itself when he feels vulnerable.

Laurent always had more ambition and determination. He believed so much in the power of their relationship that he threw himself into their duo. Others couldn’t change that, that’s why his love for Larry is so strong. Nothing else matters. There’s a wall between them and the rest of the world.

I love this video : They’re simply joyful. They’ve never blamed the people in the streets of Montmartre where they’ve begun, nor their social standing, nor the system of an entire nation. They were excessive in their desire, in their passion, in their love. Not in their bitterness.
