It's wild working with only zoomers as a 36 year old. One of my coworkers said I look younger and I gently pushed back saying women in their 30s aren't grizzled and dying. There's really no such thing as looking like you're in your 30s. And she said "no, you look 28" specifically. I think the ED propaganda was so effective on me as a kid from the magazines I read. Now I guess it's tiktok misogyny for any women over the age of 28. It honestly scares me. Both of them really. I do think about my weight needing to be a certain number which I fight back with my brain about. Its nonsense. The thing is you can lose weight and look healthy and good. But you will age. There's no escaping it. It comes across a little sheltered to not see life as a total gift thinking of all the people that don't make it so far. That doesn't seem very important to a lot of people considering image is everything now. I really do think if you're a woman you sort of die socially at an early age according to society.
It makes me depressed. Time to accept the compliment and move on!
