Today, there were no mini shorts, no running girl, no thighs to admire. No, today was a sad day.
She didn't come.
It was a first.
And, oh how Spencer hated change. He despised it. That fucking butterfly effect.
It began with french braids, then mini shorts, and now she wasn't even running anymore?
He was spiralling. He always thought he was in control. He had passions, deep interests in things. For as far as he can remember, he had been someone who always put his heart into everything he did. When it was music, it was easy. But with people? God, it was hard.
Was she dead?
So here he was, lying on his couch, torturing his mind with every hypothesis possible.
It wasn't insignificant, it couldn't be.
As crazy as this idea seemed, for Spencer, it was the only one plausible.
Why else wasn't she by his house?
He always thought he was in control of everything. But he was not. He was not crushing on that running girl. He was going insane. And her not coming by felt like a betrayal.
It had been seven months. Seven months of running and early rising. Seven months of stalking, if you put it that way.
There could have been so many reasons for her not showing up. But Spencer couldn't believe she would abandon him like that.

Of course, mini shorts. With the summer approaching and the days getting hotter, she'd let the jogging go and switch to some shorts. Incredibly, attractively mini micro shorts. This calculated routine has been his for a while now. Exactly six months, twenty-seven days and a few minutes. Was Spencer a creep? He'd rather call himself a passionate little man. But he wouldn't dare bother the lady or her quiet and safe routine.
