So, I bought one of those weird flat detangling hair brushes from a dollar store out of curiosity.

You know, these ones

And decided, meh, wasn't for me. But I kept it anyway for the hoard (and my bf decided he liked it better for his shorter hair).

Fast forward a couple months and my bf makes a brilliant discovery. Our cat loves this brush. She's not normally one to sit still for brushes but this one she flopped right on her side and started to purr.

We quickly realized this is like the perfect brush for a cat? Soft flexible bristles (not sharp or steel), fits comfortably in your hand, easy to clean hair out of, and honestly picks up hair pretty well. She's a short hair but I can imagine this would work really well on longer haired breeds as well? Also significantly more economical than buying a super expensive pet brush?

Idk I feel like this is a decent hack for people who like brushing their cats (or any furred pet for that matter) and don't want to break the bank/worry about sharp steel wire brushes.
