I love how often Jisu acts like her conscience it's so funny
I know this is super random and unrelated to ASLFUA sorry, but as a fan of your art, I really love your style.
You draw Jisu and the other characters so well, and I’ve always found drawing male characters a lot harder than female ones.
Do you have any tips on how to draw male characters?
No pressure though! If you’re too busy or don’t feel like explaining, it’s totally okay :D
Omg I feel so flattered that you like my artstyle that much hahaha >//<.
And well, for me I think that I found drawing male characters more easy because before I started posting my drawings, almost all the time I drew male characters (and for that reason drawing female characters was a little bit hard for me lol). But anyways.
I think that the principal aspect that differences male and female characters in a draw it's the neck, shoulders and face structure, even though this aspects may not be accurate all the time due to maybe men having feminine characteristics and vice-versa.
I love that you apologized for not being ASLFUA related when I'm totally going to do this ASLFUA related lol.
Well I think the best example to show the "typical characteristics when drawing a male character" it's Cheol, because he has a lot of masculine traits.
(Also Song-I because I think she's suuuper feminine and pretty. Oh, Jinseop the baddie you fumbled)
In summary, when drawing male characters it's more easy to draw the difference between male and female by adding more straight lines and making the edges sharper.
But like I said before, this isn't graved on stone. People come in a lot of different looks and shapes. In fact, when I draw Jisu, I do not use straight lines at all, instead I use curve lines.
(And next to him I drew Sora, who is female, but has a lot of straight lines and sharper features)
But I think that what remains while drawing male characters are the broad shoulders and the thick(? neck. Though it depends in the physique how broad the shoulders would be and how thick the neck would be.
Because Cheol it's a freaking monster, his shoulders would be more broad, while Jisu, who is slender, would look smaller. (Though in the manhwa Jisu has a reaaally wide back, Jesus, where did you get all that you're like 14)
Now in the physique the muscles in men are more visible and their shape tends to be more defined and sharper, while in women these lines are often softened.
(These are some unused sketches that might work to show that, I guess) (The second Jisu it's an adult, that's why he looks bigger)
Also, artists like to use an upside down triangle or a rectangle (depending on the body type) to visualize better the torso of men physique.
I guess the best way to draw male it's to imagining them as shapes with edges, and try to simplify the draw that way in the sketch.
Although, I'm a beginner artist too, so don't take my words so seriously.
Even though, I highly recommend to use a lot of references while drawing and try new things, like poses or styles. That really has helped me to improve, because even if I think that I don't have the ability and the final draw might be total trash, still I would have learned something and next time I'll do better.
Anyways, so sorry for the late reply and I hope all this gibberish made sense in some way lol. Also I would love to see more of your art in the future :D
I based this drawing on an illustration I saw on Pinterest… I’m quite satisfied with the finish, to be honest :) Jisu looks very adorable :)
I LOVE THEM SO MUCH, THEY'RE SO CUTE GOD
He has a very good memory
Jisu eating a burger 'cause why not (actually a friend's petition lol)
@apple-button: A new collab because we never stop! Hehehehe
We usually do AUs of the guys already in high school, but this time we made them during the play Uwu. I would love for them to share music at some point.
Tell Valley to stop cooking so well because she's spoiling me!!!
P.S.: Miae is so cute and sweet! I would eat her!
P.S. of the P.S.: The notebook would totally be like this, haha.
P.S. of the P.S. of the P.S.: They're probably listening to "Song 2" by Blur.
@valleyswarrior: shhh don't disturb them, they are finally getting along.
DUDE, JISU LOOKS SO DEVOTED, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH (I would die for him).
Apple rules! >:D"
What do you think a Jisumiae kiss would look like? How would Jisu react?
Hey thanks for asking hehehe :]
Honestly I always thought that (if something like that happens) probably Jisu would be the one who'll go for the kiss on a random wendesday hahahaha. In my opinion he is super honest and bold with his feelings so I think that he wouldn't hesitate to take the chance if he had the opportunity.
But I also have a variant in what Jisu, knowing that Mi-ae has feelings for Cheol, doesn't make a move because he respects that. And then in the hypothetical case that Mi-ae ends developing feelings for him and suddenly kisses him, he wouldn't know how to react and be like "Jisu.exe has stopped working" lol
Something like this:
(So sorry for the awful sketches and my horrible handwriting Dx)
Bonus: I also think that if they ever kiss it wouldn't be by accident like with Cheol. I like that their relationship feels like a real one and not like a romance novel one. So I think that it would happen with one or both of the two knowing damn well what they are doing. (Now Soonkki proves me wrong prolly)
But yeah, these are my interpretations lol. And I tend to like his "bold version" a little bit more :]. I hope this answers your question satisfactorily :>
Feel like drawing him today
Always thought that his eyebrows were a little too defined lol
I can't believe I spent nearly 30 hours making this shi 🥀

Jisu if he indeed has a part-time job.

@apple-button : Wow wow wow a second collab!??? I'm so happy to keep making drawings with you and share this passion for this manhwa :))) I hope we can do more drawings.
Miae is so cute!! I would be just as angry with a teacher like that! >w<
@valleyswarrior : Dude you're making me tear up. It's an honor sharing my love for this manhwa and working with you as well :D
Jisu wants that cookie so effing bad lol (I love him)
About Mi-ae's and Jisu's past
This will be kind of an obvious post, but I really love to deeply analyze their little interactions :]
Well, as we all know in chapter 149 Mi-ae finally "remembers" who Jisu was. I say "remember" because even though we, as readers, may think that the most important part of their relationship was the fact that Mi-ae in various occasions helped Jisu against his bullys, probably that was just the top of the iceberg of what actually happened between them.
In fact, mentioning that event was one of the methods Jisu used to try make Mi-ae remember him.
But as you can see, he mentioned it very lightly, like it was just one minor occurrence without a real relevance in their story.
And his expression here suggests that he was expecting that that tiny hint triggered her memory into remember him, to remember something... probably bigger.
But then, Mi-ae just seem to remember vaguely just that one incident and that he was "the one who got smacked all the time".
When I read this part for the first time, I really thought that that was it, that was their past, and because of that I couldn't quite understand why Jisu didn't seem happy about the fact that Mi-ae finally remembered him.
And it's because Jisu realized that Mi-ae actually didn't remember him completely. And that bothered him. But I guess that he let it slide because, at least, she finally remembered something about him.
I do think that what Jisu wants her to remember it's deeply connected to the reason behind him moving a lot and the person he saw smoking when he was playing with Mi-ae outside of his house, because immediately after they go upstairs and Jisu glanced at that person through the window, the first thing he said to Mi-ae is "You used to call me Magpie. Do you remember that?".
The other ocassion when he wanted her to remember him was when she misunderstood his intentions into thinking that he was a bully who wanted to be friends with her. At that moment he was hurt by that vision of him, because as we know now, he was a victim of bullying and totally despises bullys.
So, that demonstrates that it's only at key moments when Jisu wants her to remember.
But now, if it's really something THAT important happened between them, why does Mi-ae keep forgetting it? Because it's not like she even though didn't remember him so clearly, was aware about his existence. Like with Cheol, she didn't remember everything about him at first, but still remembered him right away as the kid she met in the countryside and with she spent a good time.
In Jisu's case... she banished he from her memories.
Edit: actually the part when we see those memories in chapter one it's called "there are no memories left" (is this foreshadowing by any chance?)
And I thought that it was weird when I checked the first chapter to look if Jisu was there. But she only remembered the fact that he moved out because of how many of her friends where doing so. But why this happened? Why then it's portrayed in the manhwa that her time with Jisu was important when she didn't even remember that they knew each other in the first place?
For that I have 2 theories.
1. She is just that forgetful lol.
2. Whatever happened between Mi-ae and Jisu was so impactful and maybe traumatic for her that her brain, as a defense method, decided to just block any memory related to him.
Now, I really don't know how darker the manhwa will turn, but I'm pretty convinced that there's something shady about Jisu's background that it had been hint in past chapters.
Bonus: I also wonder if after befriending Mi-ae, Jisu's bullying got worse, because that kid Mi-ae dropkicked actually liked her. (See chapter 100, tumblr won't let me put any more pictures /sad)
But I might be wrong as well, so any thought that you have about this will be well received :]
Casually remembering that this guy was born in 1984
I love her sm
