On the magazine mi ae read in the library (called sympathy btw ) before renting “my first love next door is number one “ manga vol 3 ,

She read a story submitted by 18 years old lee , there’s so many similarities between her story and mi ae’s .

Mi ae’s only thought was:how?

Which the narrator replied “ it’s not that she’s some kind of exception…….but she just doesn’t get it “ . ….

She doesn’t get it YET .

WAS IT THERE IN FRONT OF OUR EYES ALL THIS TIME??

THE DESTINY OF CHEOL & MI AE ??

Then her thoughts were cut off by the lady in the library telling her that the new volume of the manga (my love next door…etc) is now available.

I really hope that this isn’t true because it’ll be sad :(

Appreciation post (2/2)

Cheol’s character is really well written. One of the few times a character’s emotions and development actually felt realistic to me. I’ve read a lot of manhwas with decent stories and characters, but this one stuck with me the most.

I genuinely appreciate gentle, caring male characters in media. Even if they seem kinda rude at first, they’re not actually harmful.

Cheol feels like a real person dealing with trauma, friendships, family, goals, and most importantly, real flaws.

One thing I kinda miss though is how much his appearance keeps changing throughout the series , The way they drew him in the earlier episodes felt DIFFERENT, and that’s honestly what pulled me in at first,because the art had this unique crunch to it that I’ve never really seen before.

With the latest episodes though, he keeps drifting toward the more typical shojo manga ML look. I still love the art style overall, but I miss that older vibe a lot. I can’t fully describe that specific “crunch” yet, but yeah .

Don’t get me wrong, the story is one of the best stories I’ve read so far .

Debunking my latest theory

THE ERASER INCIDENT

So in Ep 62 we see Cheol holding what appears to be an eraser to throw it on mi-ae’s window to get her attention , I speculated that it was the bullies , but turns out that it wasn’t. it’s just Cheol’s way of calling her outside.

THE ERASER INCIDENT happened in a time where mi-ae was deadly embarrassed and couldn’t even face Cheol or go out , she even skipped the academy , so he probably tried to call her to come outside (but ended up not actually throwing anything, possibly because he overthought the situation).

That might also explain why he didn’t respond when she later brought it up.

That makes more sense ig

I REALLY like how Mi-ae is drawn throughout the series, she just looks cuter every ep .

I kinda have a tiny problem with how the style shifted slightly from the first episodes, but she still looks adorable from every angle.

She’s very considerate, understanding, kind , and too cute for this world…🍏

The school names in ASLFUA seem intentional, and might help us understand the characters/dynamics better. (THEORY)

Goguryeo, Silla, and Baekje are the names of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, which is why they were mentioned as a joke in one of the chapters ( EP 145 ).

Goguryeo was known for its strong military and fighting. In ep. 2, the narrator even said that it’s “famous for delinquent teenagers.” Even Mi-ae was shocked when she found out that Cheol attended Goguryeo, so they clearly have quite the reputation.

Silla was strategic, intelligent, and focused on forming alliances, which fits some of the students there.

Baekje is harder for me to define, though. Historically, it was associated with culture, art, and softer influence rather than military strength, and I feel like the students from Baekje seem more emotionally expressive and socially connected compared to the others.

(Baekje is the only one I’m less sure about.) what do u think? Correct me if I’m wrong.
