ASOIAF OC Week ꧂

Two Valyian half-sibilings from Old Valyria lived and encountered the Doom.

Aelyria Maeryxon and Laeryn Maeryxon had an arranged marriage that went from one-sided hate to Tragic Love.

Aelyria grew us a naive sheltered girl, kept from the brutality of the Freehold, unlike her brother-husband, who killed for the Freehold and saw cruelty of Valyrians firsthand. Together, they matured and their love bloomed. She became more aware of her culture and history, while he repented and sought to atone for his dark past. Unfortuantely the Doom would destroy their home, their history, though not their love.

For even time and death could not sever a great love that defied the end of worlds.

Aelyria ventured boldly into the bustling square. Silver haired Valyrians, their features sharp and elegant in the light, moved between lively taverns and vendor stalls. Music poured through the streets with laughter and loud chatter. Women danced, their silken dresses swirling as they embraced and kissed their lovers openly beneath the stars. She looked up and saw the glowing towers touching the heavens. Above them, dragons raced the sky— shadows of great and small— and she could hear the laughter of their riders firing into the night breeze. There was an exhilaration that took hold of her. Aelyria wished she had been born in the capital, where everything was granted with life and never touched by boredom. The scene made her smile, the joy and freedom infectious.
